Last of the marathon long 5+ hour Strongman Sunday from last week.

Sets of doubles at 245# on stones.

450# yoke runs (it tried falling apart on me 😂)

Overhead log carry for distance at comp weight. *Next week we might try finding some room to run 60ft. Back and forth, this turning every 20ft. Is no good.

Here I'm not talking about your actual training program. I am just referring to what you do in between your training program. A lot of people don't realise that, even though the training program they have is great and they are getting all kinds of benefit from it, they can actually create a counterproductive environment for themselves by now believing that they have done their workout so now its time to put their feet up … all day!
Now while this may not be a conscious choice as I know a lot of us have jobs which require us to sit for extremely long periods. It does allow us to fall into the realm of not minding that we are sitting all day as we've already done our workout for the day. Even though you may have worked out that day, this sitting all day or being inactive all day can still create problems such as musculoskeletal imbalances and just lowers your overall energy expenditure which is something that we want to keep up if we are serious about losing fat.
There are 650 confirmed skeletal muscles in the human body, although some sources say 800, and there are 350 joints. The sloth on the other hand, is known to have relatively low muscle mass, about 30% less than other mammals its size, the same is relatively true of their joints and we all know how a sloth spends its life. We are not supposed to live like sloths, our bodies were designed to mooove!
Your turn: Find as many opportunities as you can to move your body. I'm not talking about anything strenuous. Just simply going for a walk to the shop, taking the stairs instead of the lift or escalator, playing a game with the kids (not a computer game, remember old school movements!)
