It sounds so simple, but in today’s fast-paced world these basic essentials to optimal health can get thrown to the wayside. With the new year fast approaching, make some goals NOW so you’re more motivated to keep the resolutions you make in the new year. This #motivationmonday challenge is to EAT dark leafy greens at least once everyday this week (in smoothies, salads, stir fry, etc), MOVE your body everyday, even if its taking the stairs at work, or parking your car further away - commit to more movement daily. HYDRATE and drink 8 glasses of water each day. Count them out and make sure you have 4 by lunch and 4 before you go to bed. SLEEP 8 hours each night. Turn off the tv and relax in bed with a book or magazine to relax the mind into a restful sleep. LOVE yourself first – tell yourself how much you love being you every morning. Cultivating a deep sense of self love nourishes the body mind and soul and will strengthen your relationships with others. Good luck and stay motivated! .

F A T ⚡️ F O R ⚡️ F U E L⠀
On my last day at @farmersmarketqa for 2017, I was keeping it simple by sticking to 2️⃣ of my winning recipes: Fatty Latte☕️ (using the delicious coffee from @thebrewcompany.qa ) and fresh and tangy Guacamole🥑 (with Organic Tomatoes and Coriander from @farmersmarketqa ). Did you manage to sample some?⠀

In experience professionally and personally, a diet packed with good fats and abundant vegetables, with great fresh produce and lacking common inflammatory ingredients (like sugar, gluten, grains and transfats) leads to great health that looks like:⠀

Okay so jelly tots have virtually no nutritional value, & almonds are better for you, OBVZ.

But which would you choose?

Some people would choose the almonds cause its better for them, or the act of eating sweets makes them feel 'off plan' and has negative psychological effects.

Sometimes, that's me.

But other times, I'm all about the jelly tots. See I'm crazy passionate about living a healthy, but balanced lifestyle. I think we should eat for our bodies and mind, but also for our soul.

This means 80% of the time, I eat nutritious, whole food..and 20% of the time I'll eat jelly tots because I enjoy it and it makes me feel good. 😎

The duck egg knocks the socks off chicken eggs for flavour and health benefit, offering, amongst many other things and increase in your alkalinity and a decrease in your #inflammation. This egg sits on top of a savory #vegan stew of lentils, blistered grape tomatoes, kale, butternut squash, loads of garlic and onions, and tomato broth.
