Bright sun after the storm in Malmaison, Empress Joséphine's house. The Cedar she plantes with Napoléon is in the center of the Picture. On first plan, a pink rose is still flowering, honouring the great promoter of horticulture that Joséphine was. #Malmaison #Joséphine #Napoléon #rueilmalmaison #horticulture #frenchgarden #historicplaces #visitfrance
One of the charms of my new house is the fact that the historic and beautiful Elm Hill is now part of my regular route into the centre of town. I keep meaning to pop into @britonsarmscoffeehouse for a cream tea - isn't it gorgeous?
Wormsloe Historic Site, Savannah, Georgia

I think this GORGEOUS oak tree row has shown up in a few movies. Guess what? Our spring adventures are going to bring us back to Savannah and we cannot wait!
Enchanting, isn't it?!

Got an appointment with the sun today, at the house of Empress Joséphine. Joséphine was the first wife of Napoléon 1, and the love of his life. They probably spent their happiest hours in this house called Malmaison, in Rueil Malmaison not far from Paris. The lebanon cedar at the right of the house was planted by them in 1800 ! #Joséphine #Napoléon #Rueil #rueilmalmaison #Malmaison #visitfrance #historicplaces #french_history

One of my favorite cities in Japan - Hiroshima. Wherever I go there, I always step by the Peace Memorial Museum. It’s the saddest place in the world. All people should go there at least once to see with their own eyes and to feel this tragedy. Every time I am amazed by this beautiful city built from scratch.
