In fact research shows infants who have been provided with constant touch in the first six months of life have increases in neurodevelopment, higher IQ and are able to handle stress and demonstrate better emotional regulation compared to those infants who are deprived. Adequate touch can be performed through skin to skin, cuddling, massage or carrying. So don’t feel bad for cuddling your baby or carrying your baby around all the time! You are not spoiling them you are simply prompting healthy development! 💕

BREAKFAST ✨

This has to be hands down my favourite breakfast in absolute ages. So easy to make yet so tasty.
X2 Hovis Tasty Wholemeal slices (HEXb) topped with slow cooked scrambled eggs and a side of baked beans (both free protein) and a pear (speed free). Black coffee (you can have up to two normal coffee a day when 🤰🏻 but I try to avoid it when possible) and a large glass of water 💦

When you think your kids are calm enough for you to work out and then you have to sort out two disagreements in the first 15 minutes! 🤦🏼‍♀️ week 3 @kelseywells #postpregnancy arms workout ✅ with only one modification!
I seem to be managing 4 workouts a week roughly at the moment, which I’m happy with! I’m active on the other days but dedicating 4 to working out is fitting into my schedule and energy levels at the moment! Let’s see how long it lasts!

It's been a weird couple of days after a good friend was suddenly and seriously not well and in hospital. Her lovely hubby called yesterday and sounds like she's doing ok. I can't imagine how her family are but I was in a funk and could not stop thinking about her. 💕

So I haven't done much this weekend therefore today will be a busy day. Wolf this down, gym, get hospital bag organised, bathroom tile shop and then to the in laws for dinner in Falkirk. And then it will be Monday for my last full week of work!! 😨

#36weekspregnant ♥ A couple of nights ago I experienced what I am 100% certain were contractions. It started in my lower back then moved to the front in my lower abdomen & felt very much like period pain. Then it would move to my lower back again before subsiding for a few minutes then returning again. This went on for about half an hour then just stopped completely. It was good to know how I would react if I felt labor coming on so now when it really happens I'm going to be very mindful of staying calmer coz I did get very agitated & snippy with my partner (mostly coz he didn't believe me!). Click the link in my bio to see my YouTube video update covering Week 35 of my pregnancy. In this update I mention that I think I felt Braxton Hicks for the first time a week or so ago but I now realise that braxton hicks is more of a tightening feeling up higher & not like period pain at all. I am filming these updates weekly now that I'm on maternity leave & have a little more time up my sleeve :-) .

Woke up thinking about weetabix. Makes a change from marmite! 1 chocolate weetabix and one raisin and coconut weetabix with fruit and yogurt. I’ll be hungry in a couple of hours, this doesn’t fill me like protein but hopefully I can tempt hubby out of bed today and perhaps cook a full English later.
I was on plan again yesterday with just 9
Syns used. That’s 3 days of being in control of my eating and no secret chocolate eating. Despite the MIL giving us more chocolate yesterday 😱😇 planning another good day today.
