SQUATS🍑
.
➡️Here’s two variations to squats .. first is a variation for front squats and second one is a little twist to traditional squats with bar! Try these two as a superset! .
➡️Note: the second exercise you have to stand a bit more forward so the plate doesn’t hit your back when you go down! You’re essentially sitting back into a chair position with the second exercise! .

HIGH CARB VS LOW CARB🍟
🔥Both diets have equal effects on fat loss once calories and protein are equated (Aragon et al., 2017, Hall et al., 2017). As well as this, it’s interesting to note that overfeeding on carbs leads to lower levels of fat storage than overfeeding on fats (Horton et al., 1995)🤔
.
😋Low carb diets may have a slight advantage on diet adherence with fat being more satiating than carbs (Holt et al., 1999). However, a diet high in fibrous carbs may have a similar effect (Rebello et al., 2014)✅
.
🏋🏻‍♀️Explosive and strength based sports use your anaerobic system, which relies on carbohydrates in the form of glycogen. A low carb diet, therefore, can negatively affect performance (Cook et al., 2007). As well as this, high glycogen levels are associated with higher levels of muscle protein synthesis and lower levels of cortisol (Howarth et al., 1985, Costa et al., 2005)👌
.
📌To conclude, both diets can be beneficial for weight loss, but when it comes to performance and muscle growth, a high carb diet is king👑 .

3 years of grinding everyday to better myself to become the best Version of myself. Yeah there was some day I just wanted to give up and some days i questioned why I do it. Every time I question myself I look back and see where I started and how far I’ve come and can’t wait to see how much further I can progress. #trusttheprocess #dailygrind #transgender #nevergiveup

Today’s workout was all about shoulders, arms and abs. Here’s a part of that workout. My goal today was about decreasing reps and increasing weight each set. (pyramid) -
Having a little more time on my hands now, I’m able to be more disciplined in my training splits which makes me extremely happy. 😁 I’ve also started tracking my workouts (exercises, reps, weight) which I never really did before. The goal is to progress and not stay stagnant and this is a good way of keeping an eye on my progress and also seeing what works and doesn’t work for me. I’m looking forward to seeing the changes in my body as a result of all this. 💪🏻

Hope everyone out there is having a successful day! Happy Wednesday! 😘

LETS TALK DEADLIFTS🤔 TO SUMO OR NOT TO SUMO????? 🤔
What do you need to know about the sumo deadlift?
I would say anyone who loves to squat 🍑 would prefer this version of a deadlift. It is slightly more technical than the conventional deadlift in the sense of the initial stance. The only real differences between the sumo deadlift and the conventional deadlift ...
1. The sumo puts less pressure on your back and more on your quads than conventional.
2. The conventional is the better one out of the two to strengthen your back.
3. The sumo has a shorter pull.
There are no proven factors that make either deadlift easier or harder than the other. It is a matter of individual preference on what feels more comfortable. It also depends on the individuals strengths and weakness (e.g stronger legs or back. This doesn’t mean if you have a stronger back you shouldn’t do sumo)
But if you wanted to chose which variation best suited you, just train both for a couple of months and stick with the one with the strongest and most comfortable on submaximal loads (using less than 85-90% of your 1 rep max). Hope you liked this post guys 👌🏻 -
