This is Carolyn Garcia, she was 7 years old and she was going through confirmation at St. Joseph’s Church in Holtville, Ca. And she’s my mom.
Ironically, Chloe would be this exact age, this coming Thursday marks the 7th year since Chloe passed away. The sadness that I feel takes me and it changes my reaction to living and my ability to have excitement for life. I struggle to be happy many days yet it’s my faith that always gets me through. I miss them all - my mom, my dad and especially Chloe.
I’m not sure if I’ll ever feel better but I do know I need to be straight up about the grief. It doesn’t go away and if I don’t express it, it will fester. This year on February 22, seven years since Chloe’s died. I know this
Life waits for no one. I must choose on a daily basis to show up and to live. To live with intention, to live and serve anyone whose grieving ... I want to encourage you to live without apology, to live with your faith, to love and most of all to understand that grief is yours and should never be kept as shame. 💛I’m sending you my forever love & grace.

Our message today is a mediumship message.
Your loved ones are with you constantly-loving, supporting and more importantly guiding you to the best path. When you feel lost or confused and think to yourself “if only my beloved were still on this earth in their physical bodies, I could call them up and ask for advice or just take solace in hearing their voice,” remember that they are supporting and leading you to the best possible outcome in spirit.
Their love for you didn’t end with their death, in fact, in spirit they have much more knowledge and wisdom and thus can help you in deeper and more meaningful ways than they could when they were alive.

I have been coping exceptionally well the last couple of days. I truly felt like I had turned a corner and decided that I was in the beginning stages of the healing process. Grief is a tricky little monster. Out of the blue I had to pull over to the side of the road today to ugly cry after being overcome with a tremendous sense of sadness. There has been so much loss and heartache in my life lately that I just get overwhelmed at random intervals. It’s been complete emotional chaos. Losing my father four weeks ago left a gaping hole in my life that is immeasurable. Losing several friendships that were dear to me but I was not dear enough to those friends, as well as accidentally falling for someone and losing that too, adds several more layers of hurt and pain onto an already terrible situation. I know that there will be a calm after the storm. I know that there will be good days ahead. I have to wade through the damage to get to it and I’ll let those tears fall when they need to come. Getting the grief out is essential to healing. I will be patient with myself. I will be kind to myself.

In life, some people endure more misfortune than others, some people feel more pain and spend more time suffering. I have such great sympathy for those people. Living with grief, or pain, or suffering of any kind can completely tear your life away before you have chance to heal yourself. My aim in life since losing you has been to be alive. Not to just live with a hole in my heart but to survive and thrive with you by my side forever. When I experience certain things in life, the top thought in my mind is always you. I’ll often shed a tear and I could never ignore my broken heart but I feel that if you could ever see through my eyes, I don’t want them to be blurry and full of tears, I want them to be bright, and open and looking up to heaven where I know you’ll be. My dear brother, I miss you beyond belief and I eagerly await the day I can see you and feel your presence around me again but for now, please be proud because I am continuing, for you and for us. A team, from then until forever. .

Broken HeART Project donations *UPDATE*

I currently have enough donations for two free memorial portraits!
Thank you so much to everyone who has donated so far.
Please keep sharing to help support my project 💕

Justgiving link in bio. *** Losing someone you love is without a doubt one the the most painful experiences you can go through. It isn’t talked about enough and there are limited resources for seeking help and support as a bereaved adult. We are therefore left to deal with the pain alone and continue with our daily lives.

As an artist I decided to create #brokenheARTproject as a way of bringing comfort to those in such an awful time in their life.
Memorial portraits are a beautiful way to capture the spirit and character of a lost loved one in a timeless way that can be treasured for years to come. However commissioning an original piece of art isn’t cheap and I think there are a lot of people out there who would love one but might struggle to afford it.
Every month I give away as many fine art portraits as I can to those who are grieving.
Up until now I’ve been funding this project myself, however, I’m also a full time carer to my partner who is unable to work with a brain tumour and my two young children who both have special needs.
The #brokenheARTproject portraits I have done so far have been so gratefully received. I’ve had a lot of positive feedback and it’s something I feel really passionate about. I would absolutely love to continue my project but financially it may become an issue long term.

Every portrait that I give away is worth a value of around £50. I’m asking for donations to fund the time and art materials it takes for me to do this project.
Please donate what you can (link in bio)
and follow my Facebook page to keep updated. Help me continue to bring comfort to those in their darkest days.

Thankyou 💕
