I had a very late breakfast this morning as I’m testing new products for my online store (link in my bio) today and didn’t realise how late it was! I will be releasing the first new product this evening so keep your eyes peeled as, trust me, you need it in your life! 😍 This afternoon I’m recipe testing something special for Valentines Day that I am hoping to make available to you all next week 💜

This morning I had a green smoothie bowl made in my @ninjakitchenuk blender featuring @bioglanuk tropical spirulina, @therawchocolatecompany cacao nibs and @rollagranola low FODMAP strawberry granola 🌱

Green smoothie goodness 🌱 Wanted a light n fresh breakfast so I can have lunch at a good time before dance 💃🏻

1/2 banana // ~1 dl frozen blueberries // ~1 cup @oatly // handful of spinach // hemp powder // flaxseeds // spirulina and topped with pomegranate seeds (some fell through due to smoothie not being thick enough 😢), puffed quinoa, walnuts, chia seeds and goji berries 💚

Sunny with a blue sky right now, I do hope it lasts! Hope you have a great start to your Saturday ✨✨✨

You’re not what you eat | We all used to say you are what you eat, me included. But that’s not actually true. You’re actually what you absorb. You can eat the healthiest diet in the world but if you don’t absorb the nutrients it’s no help.

So your gut health is very important for overall health. Research in this area has come on so much in recent years. And it’s usually where most nutritional therapists start with their clients because the gut impacts so many of our body’s systems; immune, digestive (a bit more obvious), endocrine (our hormones) and detoxification to name a few.

Stress is also a factor in what you absorb, if you’re stressed you can’t absorb the nutrients you need, mainly because the body diverts away from the digestive system when you’re stressed.
.
Anyway I’ve succumbed to a cold and as in my post yesterday I’m just flowing with it as opposed to against it and giving my body a bit of a tonic with this green smoothie. Ginger, turmeric root, broccoli, cavolo nero, spinach, cucumber, banana, hazelnut butter, sunflower seeds, pumpkin seeds blended with almond milk.

▪APPLE KALE SMOOTHIE▪
When you're in a rush in the morning a smoothie is probably the best breakfast to go with. It's easy and tasty! And you can bring it with you.

2 cups plant milk
2 red apples
1 kale leaf or 60 g spinach
4 pitted dates
A half lemon/lime (juice)

Chop apples and greens. Blend all ingredients in a blender until smooth. Serve and enjoy!

Hockey cancelled because the pitch is flooded so instead I’ve done #jillianmichaels30dayshred DVD and had a #greensmoothie (and lucky Tom got one too!) .
In case you’re interested the powders in the middle are as follows from top to bottom #foreverliteultravanilla #chiaseeds #groundlinseed or #flaxseed - (different name, same seed) and #wheatgrass.

Did you know that flax is one of the richest sources of plant-based Omega-3 fatty acids, antioxidant lignins, fibre and protein. Great post workout recovery drink.

Now, what to do with four children on a cold, wet Saturday 🤔
