Pull ups are my thing. There are so many benefits of doing weighted pulls ups I can't even count em. To name a few:

Yesterday ...wasn't a good day.
Between exams, studying and training ...I was both mentally and physically exhausted
Sucked it up , went to the gym anyways.
Told myself "only squats today" ... since past few days I over trained with kipping pull-ups and practice for strict muscle up progression (pulled something in my right shoulder)
But.. didn't listen to my body and was practicing pronation, supination c2b and deep ring dips
Ended up in a lot of pain.
Finally ...went to go do what I shd have done from the start, back squats.
I cdnt even squat 185lbs 3 reps.
Dropped the bar... then started crying.
30% from the pain in my shoulder and 70% bc I felt like a failure. (Max was 205lbs at 3 reps on Jan 8,2018.) Went home and cried there to... told myself ..."I'm never gonna be competition ready, maybe I just don't have what it takes!" ------
Went to the UofA today to study and run track.
They had a poster sale going on there; on one of the posters I saw this quote.

Even tho I already resolved last night to not give up just yet...I was still feeling like a failure deep down.
How wd I ever reach my goals? Was it really just some unreachable dream for me?

But the quote made me think ...

Went in for the WOD today .…......I beat my PR for 1rep backsquat max (210lbs) finally! (Previous1rep PR was recorded Nov10,2017 at 195lbs)

This was a learning experience for me.
I hope one day I'll look back on today and b glad I didn't give up!
