The lessons from today’s meet - your head has to be in the game (you have to believe in yourself AND you have to be confident that you’ve put in the work to overcome snafus). I knew bench was not progressing as it had in the past. Yet, 120lbs went up fine - but my spotter was in one of the judge’s way. No lift. 125lbs, stuck half way up. No lift. 125lbs, just ahead of the command. No lift. So, I was out and no chance to deadlift. I remain with 120lb bench PR and a 280lb squat PR. BUT, I began the day by PR-ing the lift that has been my most difficult for 2 years, the squat, by 35lbs (video) and I am legit pumped to see where I go from here. If I can cut 10lbs by October, there’s a very real chance I can set a total record for my age and weight class. All in all, I’m pretty 😄 psyched. #getitgirl #singletsaturday
