Decided to do a different kind of exercise as my Plan C: puppy snuggles and a good personal development book (no its not self help lol) that I have been putting off for way too long, which I openly admit. .
Life is all about balance - keeping our minds fresh, continuing to learn, grow and enrich our lives which in turn enriches the lives of others. Tonight as I was reading, I was reminded about my goals back then and today as well as my WHY. .
What does that mean? Its the driving force that propels you to achieve your goals. You have to dig deep though. It has to rock you at your core and if it doesnt, keep asking yourself, "why?" As you change, your goals become different therefore your why will change to help keep you driving forward. Dont ever stop dreaming, but dont be just a dreamer...turn those dreams into 'I dos' and become a doer.
Whats your WHY and what are your dreams of getting there!?

Not going to lie...I just woke up from a Power Snooze..litterally couldn't keep the eyes open 💤💤💤. You saw my post about "What's Your Busy" this past weekend.... so this is my Part 2 of that!

You see me grow my network marketing business in part time hours..race my busy 3 kids all a flexible life that is driven only BY MYSELF.
What you don't see is the hard work that Sam and I have invested in our future.....the legacy we want to leave for our kids and our generations that prayerfully will follow. We've embarked on growing forward in ways we never imagined possible.
Is your "busy" growing your future and propelling you forward in life? Or are you stuck
In the hamster wheel wondering if this is going to be the way it always will be?

I challenge you to PAUSE.. think outside and beyond your own limitations...but dream bigger.

Ana Forrest taught my yoga teacher Julian. Love this quote of hers.

Similarly, my own dance teacher, Kay Fulton, always used to say to us —forcefully— “get over yourself” which I took almost literally, to mean to get above myself, to find a view above and beyond that was bigger, wiser, higher, less involved with my ego. It’s a similar sentiment. I’m so grateful for my teachers.

Ahhhhhh gotta embrace our ugly lifting mugs 😂🤪 I’m not in the gym to look cute 🤷🏼‍♀️💪🏼 So, todays workout...(I’m only lifting two days a week full body both days, all other days are fat burning cardio or HIIT) Mondays full body workout:
Hip thrusts 2 sets 12 (squeeze glutes at the top & hold for 2 seconds)
Wide leg pause squats, smith machine with bands, 2 sets 12 (push glutes to the wall, push knees out against bands at bottom, 2 pulses at bottom)
Bent over rows 2 sets 12
Overhead press 2 sets 12
Hanging leg raises 3 sets 8

Finish with glute hyper squeeze 3 sets of 15 or to failure
Leave. Leave the gym Melissa. <in my notes.....I have to force myself to leave. 😔😅. Headed to a local college here in Tulsa to run some stairs & 30 second sprints. After two flights of stairs decided it was a no go. I was too wet from my workout & didn’t have a change of dry clothes. Not worth getting sick. Another day maybe when it warms up. Have a great day.
