Standing up with thousands of women is the best feeling in the world.💜#womensmarchto was absolutely inspiring😍💜 I stand in solidarity with all women who are victims of abuse, sexism, misogyny, and racism. As a young girl of colour, I wish to inspire other girls just like me to be brave and to follow their dreams. All girls deserve the right to be themselves and do what they love♥️👳🏽‍♀️👩🏽‍⚕️👩🏿‍🔬👩🏼‍🏭👩🏾‍🏫#timesup #metoo #genderequality #girlpower #womenempowerment SWIPE LEFT💜

Yesterday’s @charlottewomensmarch was 🔥 - I am so proud to be part of such a ferociously powerful and badass league. Grateful today for all of the women who fought before us & thankful for the opportunity to continue the fight. We’re still here, can you hear us?

Women are conditioned to seek approval, be pleasers and pleasing. There is a term called the double bind women face in business & leadership. In life & love it’s the “Madonna/Whore complex” .... both are perpetuated by men who hold power and use that power to diminish women and hold them back. No more. #timesup #metoo 🖤🖤🖤🖤🖤👊👊🏽👊🏼👊🏻👊🏿👊🏾

"Yet anger, no matter how deep, tends to give way to exhaustion, which is far harder to focus or mobilize. Fresh rage is easy. Sustained rage tends to turn in on itself, change shape, hew closer to resignation."
But women are stronger than that. Women keep fighting for equality, for justice and for life.

“18 R” at 4am. (📷 @kats_rad)

Yesterday, I assembled with photographers and friends. We marched in solidarity for women’s rights. We danced, laughed, and made art. We ate dinner with new friends from the march. We listened to each other’s stories.

We went home and worked on our dream job creating films with our friends. Then we danced the night away celebrating the crazy reality that this is our time to live and breathe and do the things we’ve said we wanted to do because we live in the most amazing city in the world.

A day in New York City feels like a lifetime. Eddie pointed out this morning that to my left is an 18 and to my right is an R. I’ve been saying that 2018 is going to be the best year ever and have been working hard to make it true. For a quick in-the-moment photo pass by on our walk home last night, this was a cool homage to that belief. That belief is not just for me, it’s a belief I hold for everyone. It’s quantifiable. If we help each other, love each other, work together, and have the backs of our friends, communities, and people who need to be supported and empowered, 2018 can - literally - be the best year ever.

I’m showing up to continue that mission tomorrow at 9am. And the next day. And the next day. And every work day for the rest of 2018. I hope you’ll join me.
