Er zijn zo van die mensen waarbij je onmiddellijk een vertrouwd gevoel hebt, net alsof je ze al jaren kent. Zo leerden we het afgelopen jaar @nowelja van @boerentoer kennen. Zij motiveerde ons om het plukblomme-project verder uit te werken. In haar prachtige, biologische tuin mochten we ons de afgelopen week lekker uitleven: amaranth, dropplant, sedum, rozenbotteltjes, pompoentjes, ... alles om in te drogen voor onze herfstkransen. Om haar te bedanken voor de vrijgevigheid, maakten we voor haar een herfstkrans. Et voilà, dit is het resultaat. 🍂🎃🍁

Here's who made the cut for flavor and for #foraged and farmed ingredients: concord grape elderflower, honey jasmine jun and propolis mixed with cranberry hibiscus (my "cape codder"), beach plum wineberry rosa rugosa rosehips concord grape (this is what #marthasvineyard tastes like), strawberry lavender ("loveberry"), peach basil ("nectar"), and carrot apple Chai (because fall!). 🍇🍯🌺🍷🌹🍓💜🍑🌱🍎
Also bringing a couple wild cards, if the judges dare to taste: "fire and ice" Habanero peppers with pineapple ginger mint (my "beach day"), and "#cannabooch" CBD basil hibiscus in honor of #yeson4 in Massachusetts to #legalizeit for recreational use. TAKE TINY SIPS! ! Let's give them something to talk about. ..
