#Homemade Ruby Red #Apple Cider! 😊

I'm not sure what variety these apples are, since it's from a random apple tree in my neighbourhood.

But, they have a vibrant red flesh running through them, that when juiced, I get this gorgeous red apple juice...just amazing!🤗

Not only do I have the sweetest roommate ever, she is also one of the most earth-conscious ladies I know! 🌎 Check out this #plantbased #smoothiebowl she made tonight. Personally I'm lovin the green color #spinach 🌱and the toppings: cocoa nibs, #coconut meat, and coconut #sugar! 😋

Joey does most of our cooking, but I do the ingredient mixing (and I don’t measure them out “because I’m Italian”). We have meatballs probably once a week. They are a low carb, mainly protein dish. Easy and filling, but not heavy! -Lauren

Ta-dah 🤗 it's tabouleh! Thanks to @unasangster for suggesting this one for our 'classics' series! It was such fun researching what makes a traditional version and whilst we've really tried to keep it classic there are a few tweaks ... 🙃!! Firstly, a traditional tabouleh would be made with dried bulgar and left to soak overnight, but we ain't got time for that business ☝️, so we did soak the bulgar in boiling water first (see Sam in full swing on stories today for the full recipe run through!!). 📝So a quick recap: 50g bulgar soaked in approx 200ml of boiling water for 30 mins then well drained, 1 tbsp evoo, juice 1 lemon, 100g flat leaf (not curly!!) parsley, 50g mint - both picked and finely sliced, 1/4 tsp each black pepper, cinnamon, ground ginger, ground cloves, allspice, ground coriander, nutmeg. Mix it all together and taste - add more spices if needed, we also found it needed a pinch of salt. NOW HERE'S THE THING!! What we have provided thus far is a traditional tabouleh and it's lovely, it really is BUT to our tastebuds it's quite acidic (🍅tomatoes, 🍋lemon juice) so what we really like to do - but it is probably a food crime punishable by death - is (whisper quietly) ... add raisins!!!! 😱😱We will leave that last one up to you!!!!
