Healthy meals really can be this simple.. it’s not about spending 2 hours and 200$ on random ingredients to make an elaborate dish.. it’s simply putting real food together.. that’s it, I swear ! Yeah, sometimes I want to make fun new dishes and try new recipes.... but 99.9% of the time, I’m not even looking at a recipe when I’m in the kitchen, and it took me a while to realize that is totally okay! If you haven’t lived a life of plant foods, exercise, and proper self care up til this point, it might all seem overwhelming to you. I get it! I really do. Buuuut, the good news is that it doesn’t have to be that way! Ooohhh! If I had a dollar for every time a girl told me they don’t wanna lift heavy cause they don’t want to get “bulky” 🙅‍♀️🤦‍♀️
When your goal is to “tone” up, essentially you want to lose body fat and GAIN muscle.
How do we gain muscle? Through progressive overload (gradual weight increase) & tearing our muscles fibers with moderate to heavy lifting so they’re like “Yo, we need to repair and get stronger and bigger cause she ain’t playing no more.” 💁‍♀️So don’t be scurrred girl, LIFT THAT WEIGHT!
