So today some dude comes up to me at the gym and says “yo I think you met your match. That guy over there is stronger than you”.

🤦🏽‍♂️My immediate response was to explain how I’m not at the gym to be the strongest person there. I’m there to be the best me there. I’m there to crush my goals and to develop my physique, not to look at other people and try to “beat” them.
-
❎A lot of people go to the gym, or through life in general trying to show everyone up. Trying to show everyone what they’re about.
-
✅Ironically, trying to prove yourself to others, by lifting more weight than them, having fancier things than them, trying to make more money than them, or whatever gets you off, actually makes you fall farther behind.
-
✅Stop focusing on trying to prove your worth to other people. Focus on attaining the end results you’ve set out for. Nobody’s watching you. Nobody has time to look at you while your “showing them”.
-
💯For some reason people would rather spend more time trying to get even than get ahead. Focus on what you need to do, you’ll get to where you wanna get. Looking at your competition will get you to where they’re at. Looking past your competition will leave all of them in the dust.

2 years ago I had my youngest babe... five days after turning 30!! She has completed us to a family of four- 2 girls... I’m in for a treat 😂😂 it was about 6 months prior to finding out I was pregnant that I decided to change my focus in the gym and start lifting weights! No more long bouts with the elliptical (personal preference but I hate that thing now 😂) no more 100 plus crunches in as many different forms as possible. Enter in... bb squats and deadlifts along with much more. I googled info. I followed fitness Instagram accounts. I began writing out my own workouts. (And I still do all of that - always keep learning) I worked out my entire pregnancy (safely) and the moment I was cleared ran back to the gym. Haven’t looked back ☠️✌🏼 don’t be afraid to lift some heavy shit up ladies. 💪🏼😘 #sundayfunday #thenandnow #fitpregnancy
