Ich kann mich momentan echt nicht über meine Leistung im Training beklagen 😄✌🏼 das geht alles so seinen Gang und ich fühle mich pudelwohl ! Selbst das intuitive Essen läuft in meinen Augen echt prima 😃 💪🏼 Die MyFitnessPal App kam seit nun gut einem Monat nicht mehr zum Einsatz ! 😄👏🏼 Für einige Nichts - für mich ein großer Schritt in die richtige Richtung #stepbystep 🏃🏻‍♀️ —
Ja und StepByStep gehe ich auch langsam schon dem Feierabend entgegen. 😍😌👍🏼 Nur das ich heute Abend noch ein wichtiges Treffen habe, in dem einige meiner Kollegen und ich einen 40ten Geburtstag planen werden. 🙈 Voll vergessen heute morgen 😂 #typischich .

Day 10: 80 Day Obsession

Today was cardio core - not my fave!
You know, so much of this comes down to mindset. When I used to do white-water canoeing, there was a river that in flood, scared the pants off me.
I can remember my knees knocking against the side of the canoe, knowing that this particular rocky section ahead of me was likely to turn me upside down and I'd have to bail out. And usually I did!
But, there was one time, when I woke up feeling cocky and mentally ready to attack the tricky section. So I did. I gritted my teeth, swore at it as I approached it and went full on into it with gusto, aggression and bloody-mindedness. You know what?! It was the first time I didn't have to bail or get thrown out of my canoe.

The only different factor was my mindset.

Cardio isn't my favourite kind of workout. Give me strength training any day of the week, but it's really important for us and more important is to push ourselves BEYOND our SELF-IMPOSED limitations.

That canoe trip taught me a lot about the power of my mind. As a psychotherapist, it all makes sense now, but as a 20-something it took me that experience to learn it first hand.

At the ripe age of 47, today I decided I wasn't going to wimp out and just get by with what I thought I could do. I PUSHED beyond where I thought my body would take me. And I won the battle! Did I do all the moves to the very end of each rep? No. But I took a quick breather and then dove right back in.

Result: I'm feeling so proud of my efforts and know that my battle armour is on and polished, ready for the 70 days ahead of me.

Jump squats. Such a great exercise for your lower body AND added cardio! Sometimes I like to add a few of these in between my upper body circuits because it gets my heart rate pumping!

So I have a question for you, do you prefer total body workouts, or more targeted workouts (as in upper body, lower body, core, etc)??

New discovery today: @barebells protein puddings and they were really good! ✅

Texture: like a thick custard

Taste (in order of preference):
🥇Vanilla - strong and sweet, again like a vanilla custard.
🥈Strawberry - reminded me of angel delight
🥉Coconut - subtle and creamy, even pleased the office coconut hater @luke.eve0105
🏅Chocolate - had an odd after taste

Nutrition:
140-145kcals and 20g PRO per pot ⭐️ ⭐️⭐️

Cost:
These were bought in a gym for £2/pot, but a very quick look online found boxes of 20 for £29 (£1.45/pot).

These are ideal for those wanting a sweet treat or even in lunch boxes as they come with a small spoon in the lid. The calories, macros and price point mean these are true alternatives to a protein bar.

Do you dream of pizza? I do!
Killing these workouts and ramping up my metabolism with timed nutrition. Why? Because I love all the same foods you do! I want to enjoy them occasionally and with friends and family. Fitness isn’t about restrictions, it’s about developing habits that help you stay on track, like the occasional cheat meal.
After these 80 days are up you bet I will make some time for a slice or two but for now we can just dream 💁🏼‍♀️ Spending some time this morning on the couch by myself (with coffee) to reflect on my 2018 goals..........since I got cancelled from a 12 hr shift after waking up and working out at 4am, prepping an hour last night to get us out the door this morning, and full shower and makeup. 👸🏼
