I think the world is getting smarter & wiser in finding what/who is authentic and what/who is not.
Take Instagram for example.. the trending topics all revolve around being REAL. On showing your true side. What you struggle with, your victories, lessons learned, days in the life, etc. Just real moments that aren't filtered a million times over.
Perfection is a myth and anyone who tells you otherwise is just fooling themselves. The only way to be absolutely perfect is to be Jesus...soo🤷🏻‍♀️ lezbereal🙏🏼

Snail on the Slope
25th November 2017
The Saligao Institute, Saligao, Goa.
Snail on the slope stems from an investigation into creation of social structures that allow a sense of belonging within the human race. For the curator, @anshikavarma, it is a question about the need and relevance of these structures and its impact on how we choose to live our lives today. Our private identities are impacted by the public identities we are expected to conform to. By delving into the multiple personas through nations, religions, mythologies, families and gender homogenization, one is also able to look inwards into our personal domesticities.

The works included explore and question the act of creating such norms. These questions become more relevant in the context of our current times when constructs are blatantly exploited by the politics of nations and its powerful to divide. The photographic interrogations included draw from a strong base in the photographers’ personal thoughts or politics.
