Não estou participando de nenhum desafio de emagrecimento,nem aposta,nem nada. Apenas me vi obrigada mudar o ritmo quando vi os benefícios de alguns exercícios para a mente e óbvio.. resultado de uns exames. Com a rotina turbulenta que venho tendo há 3 anos eu mal tinha tempo pra mim (o que eu achava que não tinha), e como toda rotina acabei ficando sufocada e explodindo. Busquei relaxar em corridas (e agora natação). Os benefícios podem até ser bons para o corpo,mas para mente tem sido sensacional,até pq exercícios físicos liberaram endorfina, hormônio responsável pela felicidade. E aí..bora treinar??? 🏊🚴

I was running a workshop this week and one of my students, Jim, a former Metropolitan Police officer, made us all laugh with stories of how each time ‘The Met’ got a new Commissioner, a substantial wedge of cash was spent on a new slogan/mission statement. Sometimes a slogan would change from something like a “Working for a better London’ to ‘Working together for a better London”, and some flash agency would pocket a substantial six-figure sum. Nice work if you can get it!
People get them confused, and you end up with horrible taglines that are totally meaningless

In my experience, this business of mission statements etc. gets confusing and people often get them around the wrong way and get into a bit of a horrible mess. So as it’s January, I thought it would be a good idea to clarify what these things are and how to use them.

Old ass video of some deadlifts. Nowadays aiming to improve form, and gain more strength. Also, thank goodness I have an iPhone X now (ya’ll see that amazing video quality? not. 😂)

If there’s one thing people can’t beat it’s a determined motherfucker.

People are going to act like you don’t have any talent even after you’re successful, the haters never shut the fuck up.

Use them to fuel you, use everything you go through to fuel you.

We’ve been in this fitness game 17 years non stop and consistently.

Does that mean many will give you respect? No. Do you need theirs? Fuck. No.

You can tell by the way someone lifts they’ve done it a long time and you can also tell by the shit talkers that debate your lifts how long they HAVEN’T done it.

Vets of fitness don’t give a fuck about what everyone else is doing but they for sure know everyone else knows what they’re doing.

Lil Water Gun Show Work🔫 When you are trying to get them gains it’s important to constantly challenge yourself... most people think challenging yourself just means increasing the weight..... Nah nah and nah again... work burn out sets , drop sets, super sets, progressive overload,AND increase weight over time slowly.. NO OVER NIGHT SUCCESS. Operation 405 is on hiatus until my PT test (2 weeks!). Ran today and said I would take it easy (which didn't happen) on my legs/knees so I could run more. Started doing low bar squats again and they felt great. Feeling good about the road to 405.
