Let’s keep thinking and doing, loving and living, resisting and building. Our histories and futures are both in the children and those who have left this world. #decolonizethisplace (archive image, Fall 2016)

Just out in @hyperallergic! As some of you know, our dear friend Mohammed (Habshe) Yossef, a member of MTL+ / Decolonize This Place in occupied Palestine, was taken by the Israeli army in a pre-dawn raid on his home in Aida Refugee Camp on January 8.
An article in Hyperallergic just came out covering his arrest by Yates McKee and Andrew Ross, while making a case for increased cultural boycott and divestment as part of #BDS.

https://hyperallergic.com/421525/mohammed-habshe-yossef-decolonize-this-place/

After nearly a week in prison and interrogation, a military Israeli court dissmissed the charges (of incitement on social media) and he was finally released.

In solidarity and with love.

Packed 'classroom' this afternoon for "Radical Futures Free Schools/Escuelito Libre de Futuros," a day of radical workshops and teachings sponsored by Free University at @maydayspace. Amin and I repped @decolonizethisplace and opened the day of workshops with a Movements Strategies Assembly, where we discussed and strategized around the following questions:

What can be done in the city to sustain our movements and each other? What are strategic actions beyond our issue silos and practice of protests and rallies? How do we reorient ourselves to see and create decolonial spaces and formations in the city? How do we translate "becoming ungovernable" into concrete action?
