Now that the winter season is coming to an end, it's time to shed the winter fat and get lean for the beach like it was last summer. @statusfitness @alisohrabphotography thank you for such an amazing experience during the Olympia weekend. Soulful Sunday ✨😎 Having a great time with my fam in Vegas for this long weekend. Torso twist for spine mobility and oblique strength. Don't mind my crazy eyes.😳😵 I look insane AF when I'm concentrating lol. Must be from my days of dance and making sure to always spot. Anyways....😛

Use a broom stick or even better, a weighted bar. Take your feet slightly wider than hips width apart with the toes slightly turned out. (Your foot/toe placement always depends on the width of your hips. Rule of thumb: knees follow hips feet follow knees.) -

Place a slight bend in your knees. Keep your spine erect and draw your navel in to your spine. Don't allow your legs or hips to move. Think of your rib cage swiveling on top of your pelvis. Keep your sternum lifted, but not too much that you stick your ribs out. Keep your core contracted as you elongate your spine, squeeze your glutes, and twist.

RDLs to build stronger glutes, hamstrings, and lower back.

Keep you spine elongated and your neck in line with your spine. -

Draw the shoulder blades together. Pull the navel in toward the spine to keep the core engaged and back safe.

Keep the weight into your toes and contract your quadriceps back.

As you hinge from the hips to lower, press the top of the glutes up toward the ceiling.
