On our vegan menu: Oriental Salad and Cucumber Roll 🥗 🥒
Perfect, delicious and full of nutrition home-made sushi 🍣!

I’m sure you hear a lot that sushi is high in calories and void of nutrition. That’s not entirely true. There are some great things in sushi 🍣 and if you use good ingredients it’s actually good for you!
.
Also, I don’t believe in counting calories; the quality 🥒of your food vs calories is way more important!!
.
So here’s how you can put together nutritious sushi 🍣 in 5 minutes that is super tasty!
.
👩‍🍳 First prep 3 ingredients.
.
1. Organic brown rice 🍚. I used a “ready made” pantry organic brown rice bowl @wholefoods that I just warmed up for 2 mins. Then I added: liquid aminos @braggsacvhealth, olive oil @caoliveranch, sugar free hot sauce @ralphsgrocery, ume plum vinegar @edenfoods, and herbamere salt @Amazon.
(Brown rice has anti inflammatory properties, fiber + all these healing additives I added are great for gut health.)

2. A can of wild salmon 🐟 @traderjoeslist and I added: grapeseed vegenaise @followyourheart, a bit hot sauce, some fermented veggie juice gifted from my friend @teacheravital and herbamere salt (the tastiest salt with natural herbs in it.)
(Salmon has omega 3s, healthy fats and is good for heart and bones.)

3. Slice cucumbers 🥒 @sprouts into sticks. (Hydrating, vitamins, weight loss.)
.
4. Place Nori sheet @wholefoodslosangeles on a clean counter. Place the above ingredients on just 1/3rd of sheet (smooth side up). First brown rice, then salmon, then cucumbers. Roll tightly and use water at ends to stick and seal closed.
(Nori is one of the healthiest things you can eat. Full of iodine, aids in weight loss and loaded with vitamins, minerals, iron, calcium and so much more!!)

5. Slice with sharp knife and enjoy!!

Now that’s a guilt free, nutritious packed sushi 🍣 roll that is delicious and so easy to make!

Getting the white rice out of my system before Saturday when I commit to going back 100% paleo. I’m aware some people allow rice while eating paleo but it’s a gateway food for me and it is shit for your hormones so I’m nixing it. Cucumber and purple cabbage seaweed rolls with coconut aminos. I made a shit ton for the whole family. Something magical is the air because The Man agreed after the first time I asked him, to go back to our healthful eating ways. He is never on board when I’m on board. I think he sees me struggling and wants to be helpful, how did I get so lucky with this one? We usually miss the mark when trying to do this shit together but by some insane struck of luck he agreed to eat healthy shit with me with zero resistance. The Man was one of the Man reasons I decided to change my life 2 years ago. He was diagnosed with diabetes a few years before that and was just getting worse with each mainstream home cooked southern meal I served him. When I was losing all the weight I dropped I had to drag him along with me. He hated every second as he is big on cheese burgers and tacos lol so this will hopefully help me get my ass in gear, him being on board. Things are falling into place which makes me feel like this will work out and if it doesn’t I’ll just end up making it work because I’m stubborn as hell and ready to get my health back and continue on with my weight loss. #fuckingbelieveinyourself
