For my last post of the week, here's an install shot of my MFA thesis. I photographed from the viewpoint of each of the DC #boundarystones and mounted the photos on 6 foot tall columns, which were displayed at the ICA at @mecaart in 2010. Thank you, @crusade4art for a great week. @silverthorne02 for #crusade4art
For my MFA thesis project, I used the #boundarystones of Washington, DC to explore notions of perceived, conceived, and lived space. The 40 stones were laid in the ground in 1791 and 1792 to mark the boundary of the new capital city. In some ways, they are some of the country's oldest federal monuments. All but two of the stones are in (or near to) their original location. This specific stone is located in the boarder of Takoma Park, MD and the Takoma neighborhood in DC. @silverthorne02 for #crusade4art
Last photo for today. This image from 2006 is the first new project I started after undergrad. I photographed in a public park in each of the eight wards in Washington, DC. Shot with a #holga, the final series included 64 images. @silverthorne02 for #crusade4art

Last photo of the day. There are 75 ways to enter this small lake in NH. During the past three summers, I kayaked around and photographed them all on film. 27 of these images are currently on display through 8/27 at @blackrockcenter in Maryland. @silverthorne02 for #crusade4art
