Bobbles was so excited that the last bits of his #worldbookday costume arrived today and ran outside to do a spot of cloud spotting.
He loved it so much, I think we are going to be cloud spotting for the majority of the next week! So if you see a boy with a big yellow bag and his little dog, looking at the sky and writing in his notebook, give him a wave and call him Franklin 😂

There's more to getting to where you're going then just knowing there's a road.

I can't think of a better way to end the week... on the beach with the tropical waves lapping at my feet, the salt spray tickling my face, while watching the sun disappear beyond the horizon. Blissful is an understatement 😊

This finger of amber light reaching up from the horizon is known as a sun pillar. All that’s needed for the subtle optical effect to appear is for the air to be filled with tiny, tumbling icy crystals that reflect a glitter path of sunlight toward the viewer. With no obvious high clouds here to produce the effect, this sun pillar is likely caused by the low, sparkling, ice-crystal fog known as diamond dust. It forms in very cold, dry conditions like these near the Arctic coast of Alaska. In the winter months, the Sun barely rises above the horizon. The upward finger of a sun pillar is the only way it can reach upwards, as if its anticipating the upward shift in its path as winter eventually gives way to spring.
A Sun pillar produced by diamond dust spotted over Alpine, Alaska, US, by ‘JamesH’.

Sick in bed, reminiscing about flying through the clouds. These views never get old...
