A young Hippo calf looking a bit like an Elephant Seal.
The hide at Lake Panic near Skukuza in Kruger National Park has got to be one of the best wildlife hides in the world. With the floor of the hide sitting just above the water line it's never failed to deliver great stuff every time we have stopped by there. I don't know where else you can get the plethora of bird life, hippos at 5m and animals streaming down to drink as you do there. Basically it's brain dead point and shoot photography...wonderfull!

Veiled chameleons (Chamaeleo calyptratus) like all other chameleon species have a unique visual system which enables them to see their environment in 360°. They are able to do so in two ways. Firstly via anatomical specializations that enable the eyes to rotate with a high degree of freedom. Secondly through the chameleon’s ability to transition between monocular and binocular vision, meaning they can view objects with either eye independently, or with both eyes together.
