Just had an interesting conversation with a client with regards to abdominal training and he was shocked to hear that I very rarely train/focus on abs for me it isn't a priority and I tend to get lazy with it, say to myself that I'll do it at the end of the session then talk myself out of it when I'm fatigued!
My abs show visually through diet and maintaining low body fat levels and bracing competently and effectively whilst lifting and also training heavily, particularly whilst performing compound lifts!
Am I saying that abdominal training doesn't have a role to play in your training regimen NO but I will say no amount of abdominal work will make your stomach flatter or spot reduce body fat if you are not in control of what you eat and your lifestyle!
If however you have everything in check and you want to develop a strong, healthy and visual mid section at the gym you must learn to train abs effectively, start with easy basic movements and start slow. Take doing a simple crunch for example, first you must learn to disengage the hip flexors so the abs don't work as stabilisers for the lumbar spine, you should focus on crunching the abs and flexing the lumbar spine rather than flexing from the hips and slowly returning to the start position. Try this and feel the difference.
Train heavy as demonstrated in the above picture, this will help make your abs stick out more and give them a more developed look! Don't go to heavy where your form slips but heavy enough that you are training in a low to moderate rep range where muscle growth is most prominent!
If abdominal training is your main focus, put health first and control your diet, prioritise training them effectively and increase training frequency and watch the difference this makes! 📷credit: @justin_steele

Hábitos que perjudican tus dientes..
👉Cepillarte justo después de comer: Es cierto que debemos cepillarnos después de cada comida, pero no puede ser inmediatamente después de comer. Es necesario que pasen unos 20 minutos, ya que de hacerlo de inmediato, encontraríamos a los dientes muy vulnerables por los ácidos presentes en la comida y con la fricción del cepillo perjudicaríamos el esmalte dental. (¿Acabas de comerte un dulce? ¡No te cepilles todavía! Mira por qué).
👉Tomar agua gasificada: Esta bebida contiene ácido carbónico, sustancia que se consumirse de manera frecuente puede afectar el esmalte dental.
👉Comer hielo: Este hábito puede ser nocivo para la salud bucal ya que el hielo es duro incluso para nuestros dientes, y morderlo puede astillarlos, afectar el esmalte dental y promover las caries y las enfermedades bucodentales.
👉Hacer deporte frecuentemente: Investigaciones recientes han encontrado una relación entre el ejercicio y la salud bucal. Aunque no hay datos aún de las personas que tienen el deporte como hobbie, en aquellos que son deportistas de élite son claras las consecuencias, al parecer porque en la actividad deportiva se disminuye la presencia de saliva en la boca y esta se torna más alcalina conforme progresa el ejercicio, lo que promueve la formación de la placa bacteriana. La idea no es abandonar la actividad deportiva, sino llevarla con una supervisión odontológica.

Con pequeños cambios podemos ir mejorando nuestra salud bucal; en este caso, abandonando o controlando estos 4 hábitos que perjudican a tus dientes.
