Here are (in my opinion) the #top3 free tools that every freelancer should use.

1) Canva
I can almost hear the simultaneous eye roll of every graphic designer who read that. Before you judge, hear me out. For those of us who aren't graphic designers and don't make money from graphic design, it wouldn't make sense to buy specific programs. This tool is great for creating brand collateral and social media posts. It may be pared down and simplistic, but it is free (unlike Adobe suite) and it does its job.

2) Grammarly
Communication is key when you're a freelancer and nothing is more embarrassing than spotting a fatal grammar mistake or spelling error after you've hit "send". So, save yourself the humiliation and add the Grammarly extension to your email. You'll have to pay to get premium features but the free version of the extension works just as well without them.

3) Hootsuite
This one is great for those of you who are Social Media Managers or are just looking to amp up your own social media game. Not only can you schedule and post content on virtually every major social platform, you can even use it to engage with your audience comments. While you'll have to pay if you want to schedule unlimited amounts of content, the free version of Hootsuite works perfectly well for beginners.

So that's it, I may add to this list in the future but as of right now go ahead and try out these tools and let me know what you think!
