- I N S E R T D R A M A -
Fun fact: I used to, and still struggle to post pictures of myself.
Goodness knows I take plenty of selfies, and certainly am not afraid to share them with the world a la IG Stories 😁
But when it comes to my actual @instagram page, I’m more than anal about posting two ‘selfies’ in one row, or even two photos from the same shoot/location/outfit/makeup etc etc etc.. Besides, there’s always that burning question, how many consecutive selfies does it take to render one beyond vain, and into narcissistic territory?😅
Aaanyway! I’m breaking with ‘tradition’/obsession, here it is, an archive photo that was never gotta see the light of day, ta da!
Same shoot, different picture, same old me, different perspective, why the heck not?!
😜
QESTION: What’s your feed obsession?
“Ukraine announced plans to open Chernobyl, their nuclear disaster site, to tourists. They say it’s just like Disneyland, except the six foot mouse is real” -Conan O’Brien.
.
It’s #bnwwednesday !!!
.
There are no six foot mice in the Chernobyl Exclusion Zone. What there is is a legacy of a disaster, a heroic cleanup operation and now a large variety of native Ukrainian and Belorussian wildlife and fauna.
.
Do dangers lurk? Sure and this photo proves that. The world owes it to the Ukrainian people and indeed ourselves to continue to fund the cleanup.
.
Until then sometimes the only colour in that area is the whine of your Geiger and the amber and red of a warning sign.

Pollen, Arendal... ©Milind Tambe

The Pollen (a harbour...Poll in Norwegian.. meaning a water body with a narrow inlet), is a very prominent feature of Arendal. The pollen is banked by Tyholmen on the west and Langbryggen to the east. One can find a lot of bars, pubs and eateries around the Pollen, where people come in thier boats in the evenings. Come summers and one will struggle and find it difficult to moore a boat or find a place in their favourite bar as the visiting boats throng this place. If you are in Arendal you simply cannot miss this place...Pollen IS Arendal...the two go hand in hand...you want to see the spirit of Arendal...then go sit by the Pollen, grab a drink and watch the boats come and go.... Here you see the Langbryggen side of the Pollen.
