Christmas is approaching and we thought it's about time we share one of our favourite pieces. We love our Blessed Mother and we wanted to create an image that portrays her endless love for her Son. And of course we would love to share it with you lovely people.
The painting is hand drawn and painted on a flat canvas. There are serveral sizes depending on what you like! This is perfect to leave it on your home alter, bed side table or even your desk! DM us for more details!! Many blessings ⚘📿

We did it! The Christmas tree is UP! •
It was so much more fun decorating it this year vs last year. They understand spacing the ornaments more which totally helps the control freak side of me. 🙈

How many of you re-decorate the tree after your littles go to bed? 🌲

Hello, friends! Just thought we would share our latest family photo and introduce everyone. My name is April (I do most of the IG account management) and together with my husband, Clint and our two oldest daughters, Emily (11), & Mary (9), we work to hand make and fill all the orders here at Family Rosary. Our son, Colton is 7, Catherine is 4, and Bridget is 2. Clint and I are both 36, we met in grade school & later, as freshmen in High School, he stole my heart and we have walked through life together ever since. We married in 2003 after Clint finished his service in the US Army's 82nd Airborne Infantry Regiment and I had finished Nursing School and began a career in surgery at our local Catholic hospital. Currently Clint is working as a Firefighter and also runs our Pest Control business and I stay home and manage the children and household needs. All Glory and Honor to God who deserves all praise and thanksgiving for the beautiful life He has given us. #MakingRosaries #Rosary #Rosaries #Catholic #Pray #Prayers #SayYourPrayers #CatholicChurch #Mass #Catholicism #HailMary #Eucharist #TheRealPresence #Adoration #OurLady #BlessedVirginMary #MamaMary #BlessedMother #CatholicSaints #Prayforus #OraProNobis

It is said that Justinian I, Emperor of Byzantium, while crossing Syria with his troops either on his way to the Holy Land or on a campaign against the Persians, came to this desert, where his army encamped and soon suffered thirst for lack of water. When they despaired, the emperor saw a beautiful gazelle off in the distance. He vigorously gave chase, hunting the animal until it tired and stopped on a rocky knoll and approached a spring of fresh water, but without giving the emperor the opportunity to shoot it. Suddenly, it transformed into an icon of the Most-holy Theotokos, which shone with a brilliant light. A white hand stretched forth from it and a voice said, "No, thou shalt not kill me, Justinian, but thou shalt build a church for me here on this hill." Then the strange heavenly light and majestic figure disappeared.
Upon his return, Justinian related what he had seen to his subordinates and ordered them immediately to draw up a plan for the contemplated church. After some time had passed and the architects were unable to resolve the problems of the plan, the Holy Virgin—the gazelle—reappeared to Justinian in a dream and confided a magnificent plan to him for a convent, of which she would be the Protectress. It is said that the basic structure of the convent follows this plan to this day. The convent soon gained such renown that it came to be ranked second only to Jerusalem as a place of pilgrimage, and nuns from every corner of Syria, Egypt, and other lands flocked to it.

New #goodreads post up at
My Pick: Daughter Zion: Meditations on the Church’s Marian Belief

This book is a really quick read; I got through it in under two hours. It provides an excellent introduction to the most significant biblical roots of the Catholic Church’s teaching on Mary and how her role is woven into the fabric of our faith...(read more at #2017catholicreadingchallenge #mary #blessedmother #daughterzion #popebenedictxvi #josephratzinger

"This is what you shall do; Love the earth and sun and the animals, despise riches, give alms to every one that asks, stand up for the stupid and crazy, devote your income and labor to others, hate tyrants, argue not concerning God, have patience and indulgence toward the people, take off your hat to nothing known or unknown or to any man or number of men, go freely with powerful uneducated persons and with the young and with the mothers of families, read these leaves in the open air every season of every year of your life, re-examine all you have been told at school or church or in any book, dismiss whatever insults your own soul, and your very flesh shall be a great poem and have the richest fluency not only in its words but in the silent lines of its lips and face and between the lashes of your eyes and in every motion and joint of your body." -

Thank you @arthandlermag for the image of Christie's Rockefeller sales room in New York tonight. Leonardo has left the building. -

The Angelus.
One of the most important uses to which church bells are devoted is the ringing of the Angelus.
The Angelus is a short practice of devotion in honor of the Incarnation of our Blessed Lord, and it is recited three times a day -- at morning, noon and evening -- at the sound of a bell. It consists in the triple repetition of the Hail Mary with certain versicles, responses and a prayer. It takes its name from the opening words of the Latin form, "Angelus Domini nuntiavit Mariae" ("the Angel of the Lord declared unto Mary.") #theangelus #calltoprayer #jesuschrist #worship #catholicchurch #prayer #fasting #blessedmother #prayforus #tradition #scripture #churchbells #catholicism #orthodox #christianity

Today is the Feast Day of Spiritual Warrior Saint Rose Philippine Duchesne ✝️ Pray for us

Rose Philippine Duchesne was born in Grenoble, France in 1769. Her desire to give her life to God led her to join the Visitation community — a cloistered, contemplative order — despite her longing to serve God in missionary lands. In the aftermath of the French revolution, her convent was closed by the government. For ten years Philippine served the destitute of Grenoble as she searched for God’s desires for her.

Madeleine Sophie Barat was told about Philippine Duchesne, a woman of uncommon gifts and grace. Their first meeting led to an immediate friendship. Philippine joined the Society of the Sacred Heart and her desire to bring God to distant lands was realized in 1818 when she and four companions sailed to the New World. Philippine established the first Catholic schools west of the Mississippi and oversaw the growth of the Society of the Sacred Heart in the United States.

Frontier life took an enormous toll both physically (hunger, cold, poverty, sickness) and psychologically (the difficulties of distance and communication, letters sometimes delayed six months or more). At the age of seventy-one, she began a school for Indians, who soon came to call her "the woman who is always praying." The schools she founded became part of a network of Sacred Heart Schools around the world and the Society of the Sacred Heart remains an international community, bound together across six continents as much by relationships as by a common spirituality and mission. Philippine never believed she had the gift of leadership and died in 1852 thinking herself a failure.

We all want God to answer our prayers. We believe in the power of prayer, but when it comes down to our own individual lives and our own problems, we often don't have the faith to believe God will answer. The times we are living in are difficult. We are often trapped by our unbelief and fear, but God is preparing us for the end-time harvest. He wants to enlarge our territory. He wants to bless us with increase, because His nature is to care and bestow divine favor on us.

We are the ones who limit Him because of our lack of trust and our fear of stepping out in faith. The truth is that the things we do for God should be outside of our own ability and should be trusting in His supernatural ability. When we back away from dependence and trust in God, we are not living by faith. He wants us to trust and obey His Word. He wants us to be strong and courageous. We need to be willing to attempt things big enough that unless God's steps in, we are sure to fail. This is the kind of trust and dependence He is looking for in our life. We need not be shaken. He can break through every obstacle. He is the God of the impossible!
