Day 36/80: We are almost HALF WAY through the program! 😱😱 I am beyond proud of myself because I have not missed a single workout!! Even though I’ve got a lot on my plate today I took the time to wake up earlier and get it done with some awesome ladies this morning and I couldn’t be happier!! 💗 Knowing that these ladies have my back is what keeps me going. .

Leg day felt great, hard, but great. Then she did the bonus round. .
Camels and Surrenders. .
I was able to get thru one side of surrenders, then went to do the right, and felt a “oh $&@“ pull in my left shin.
I could have quit. Instead I modified. I did a squat hold, which still sucked, but I did it.
You know your body better than anyone, make sure you know the difference between working out smart (paying attention to “uh oh” moments) and working out easy (wanting to quit ‘cause it gets hard)..
When you show up, give it. .
Work hard AND smart. Modify when you need to! No shame in it!

Guess what.. some days are going to be clunky, frustrating and down right ugly workouts..
They happen.. you may have no energy.. motivation.. can't lift same weight.. didn't burn as many calories etc..
But the key is to turn Bad Days into good data... For example, how did you sleep, what was your nutrition like the day before, how is your Mood, focused or distracted with life? Maybe you are bored with your routine...all of these can lead to bad days or bad weeks.
OR.. just a bad day 🤷‍♂️..
Be aware of everything around your routine and start to pick up trends of what works.. but also what doesn't work.. #NeverStopLearning

This right here is why I love this Beachbody program... it’s 25 degrees, snow on the ground and one sick kiddo. I don’t have to give up my workout to take care of her or go out in this weather. I want to help at least 3 people to get moving in March but you have to get committed by 2/27/18, so you can start in the March Challenge Group on 3/5/18. These accountability groups help you by: providing healthy eating tips, fitness programs for levels of fitness, daily support, and one on one coach to help you stay focused and on track daily. You have nothing loose (except weight and inches) and everything to gain such as strength, energy, self confidence, a decrease in medical issues, and inner peace. How do you handle stress? My work stress keeps mounting and mounting. Files are piling up on my desk and the meetings keep coming without me even having time to prep the paperwork for them, let alone finish up the paperwork after them. Yesterday one of my work friends sat down for a meeting and commented how my new office was starting to look like my old office. At first I thought he was talking about the decor, but then he corrected me and said “No, all those files piling up on your desk!” .

The truth is, several years ago I used to come home from work and cry. I was so overwhelmed by the paperwork, the sad situations my kids had to deal with, conflicts with administration, bullying parents, etc. I would sit and cry and my poor husband would have to see me be miserable and such a mess. When I switched jobs, things improved a lot, but the stress from falling behind with paperwork is still so overwhelming for me. .

My #1 coping mechanism in times of high stress used to be food. I would eat to comfort myself in the moment. I’m not going to pretend that that still doesn’t happen, but I can confidently say it’s not my #1 coping mechanism anymore. You know what is?

Ok, obviously you know what is, but I’ll say it anyway. EXERCISE!!!! Even if I wake up and immediately start feeling overwhelmed by thoughts of my workday, I can push that all aside and put it in check by working out my stress for an hour. It distracts my mind. It relaxes my body. It triggers the release of positive hormones in my body. Am I still stressed? Sure. But I’m not completely overwhelmed by that stress. I’m energized to go tackle the day and do the best that I can do. .
