Today is a much needed rest day for me! I was so tempted to get up and work out, but I can feel the exhaustion, so I’m taking it easy! ••• Next week, I’m joining in on the #katcrewslay 14 day challenge by @daniellepascente while I complete my last week of #BBG1.0! I’m looking forward to seeing what she has in store for us 💪🏼💦 ••• Who else is doing the challenge?!

I’m always jealous of people who can study at the gym because you can’t really do that with science. But this quarter, I’m taking a philosophy class, so guess where I’m trying to do my readings? 😉

Nothing special here just your standard yummy yogurt bowl. I took 100g of @arlaskyr plain yogurt and mixed it with 100g @alpro soya yogurt, topped with microwaved berries, @lizisgranolaofficial and a healthy drizzle of maple syrup! It’s finally the weekend and I’m going back home from uni which I am super excited about. Just got to make sure I don’t miss my train. 😅

Do you even Meal Prep?
I usually eat self-cooked meals, but I wouldn’t call it really “cooking” to be honest, because I just throw some stuff together I like and don’t use recipes or creating something special.
When it comes to Meal Prep I use the KISS Method:


I usually batch-cook the following:
Cᴀʀʙs (like rice, potatoes, quinoa ect.)
Pʀᴏᴛᴇɪɴ (like meat, fish, tofu ect.)
Vᴇɢᴇᴛᴀʙʟᴇs (like broccoli, spinach, cauliflower ect.)
Divide it all into containers and BAM! - Meal Prep Session complete.
I also enjoy cooking real stuff, like a Coconut-Thai-Curry or a Veal Stew with a nice white- or red-wine-sauce, but that is kinda an exception!
Heute einmal ein etwas irreführendes Bild, meine One-Pot-Pasta, zu einem speziellen Thema:
Meal Prep
Ich esse fast immer Selbstgekochtes, allerdings würde ich das gar nicht richtig als „Kochen“ bezeichnen, da ich einfach Sachen zusammen würfele, die mir schmecken und gar nicht nach Rezept etwas besonderes zaubere.
Ich bereite meine Gerichte meist nach der KISS Methode zu!


D. h. ich koche einfach alles „Stapelweise“ ab:
Cᴀʀʙs (Nudeln, Reis, Kartoffeln, Quinoa usw.)
Pʀᴏᴛᴇɪɴ (Fleisch, Fisch, Tofu usw.)
Gᴇᴍᴜ̈sᴇ (Brokkoli, Blattspinat, Blumenkohl usw.)
Verteile alles auf meine Dosen und BAM! - Meal Prep fertig.
Ich genieße es auch mal etwas richtiges zu Kochen, wie zum Beispiel ein Kokos-Thai-Curry oder einfach Geschnetzeltes mit einer schönen Weiß-oder Rotwein-Sauce! Nur nehme ich mir relativ selten die Zeit dafür.

So happy it's finally Friday and I can have some rest!

Happy Friday 🤓 a week has gone by so fast 😱😱 but glad it’s weekend to have sometime for myself and take time to recover 🤒 Today I am taking my third rest day in a row - because I want to be fully prepared when I go back to the gym... 💪
However, I promised myself to really watch out about nutrition; it’s the least I can do...
M1: coffee & protein waffles
M2: blue dinasour bar + orange 🍊
M3: smoothie (dates, banana, coconut, milk) 🍌
M4: lettuce salad and chai latte

My #kaylaversary. It's been a year since I started lovingly cussing at that beautiful Australian girl. I love the progress and the happiness on the right, but the left stands out to me even more. That is ALSO the smile of someone who loves her body, her baby belly, mombod, that squish, and everything it gave me. That is the smile of gratitude for three healthy babies, for two at once that I never would have asked for or dreamed of, the smile of survival of a scary uterine hemorrhage (on the blog). I kept that attitude too, I embraced and loved myself through the entire postpartum process, both weight loss and emotionally adjusting to be needed by 3 children instead of 1! Wear it well. Wear it with gratitude. Acknowledging that it didn't, and still doesn't, matter how "in shape" or "toned" or whatever I get, I will still have days where I want to be hard on myself and I will allow them to make me grow. I WILL grow old and wrinkly and I want to love my #grandmabod as much as this one. As far as the workouts go this is the longest I've stuck with a program because I feel I can adapt the workouts to my mood and blood sugars. I aim for 3 strength workouts a week and fill the rest of the time with low intensity cardio, occasional yoga or stretch/roller sessions, and everyday running to keeping up with my children! I follow 80/20 intuitive eating on a intermittent fasting diet. I don't do it when I'm feeling sick, stressed, or tired. I've centered workouts around blood sugars and am seeing the rewards all around! Plus having the energy to even keep up with these three 🙈! #mamatired
