Working on technique of discus throw. It's still indoor onrubber floor inside the net cage but it's enough for this part of season.

.. When I started preparing for my decathlon I was unsure as to how many calories I should be eating in order to recover effectively from training. This uncertainty arose during my heptathlon, 6 months prior, as I felt like I had ran out of energy, strength & motivation after my first day of competition. Therefore, I felt I did not perform to the best of my ability on the second day.
- As such, I decided to seek professional expertise from Athlete Focused so that this did not happen again.
- Alex at AF kindly talked me through the specific amount of carbs I should be eating in the lead up to the event in order to ‘carb up’ to ensure my muscles were adequately fuelled. This figure was based on my weight and current training load.
- Alex talked me through the basics and went into further detail that proved pivotal in the final few days of training.
- During my Decathlon I did not feel the same lack of energy as I had done in my previous competition as I was refuelling effectively. This was due to the consumption of the correct amount of carbs & protein as directed by Alex.
- Going forward, I feel very confident using the same approach provided by AF and look forward to using the expertise of the team for my next competition. Accordingly, I would thoroughly recommend the team at AF for not only nutritional advice, but for all sport coaching needs.
