Hey guys, just wanted to say a huge thank you for all your support this year! Your Christmas orders will be shipped out tomorrow! Thank you for your patience, I've had a bit of a rough time lately with the company I use messing up my prints and having to re-order, and being sick for two weeks hasn't helped either. But your orders WILL get to you by Christmas! Thanks again, please enjoy shipping on me now until December 25th (US orders only)! More art 👉🏼 @amilliontinylines

Do you ever have certain days that just stick in your mind? Days from years ago that are as clear in your memory as if they were yesterday? That's what this day is like in April 2012. @tenbrocki and I had been climbing in Alaska's Revelation Mountains for several weeks. We had tried a few unclimbed lines and made the first ascent of Golgotha, the massive summit in the background.

On this day, when this photo was taken, @tenbrocki and I were just a few hours from completing a dream that had been the smoldering inspiration of my youth. Several hours later, we were on the summit of the Angel after having completed the first ascent of the South Ridge. The route had been tried six times in 1967 by David Roberts, @fetcherned, George and Rick Millikan, Art Davidson and Matt Hale. On their last attempt, Hale and Roberts retreated on a perfect day when they were only 700 feet below the summit.

In his book On the Ridge Between Life and Death, Roberts wrote "from the vantage point of middle-aged nostalgia for meteoric youth, it is hard to congratulate yourself for prudence rather than boldness. I still think Matt and I made the right decision on August 28, 1967. Yet of all the regrets I have about my ears in the mountains, in terms of sheer, simple "what-might-have-been," - even more than the pang of not accompanying Rick and Art to the top of Kichatna Spire - letting the Angel slip through our fingers when we were within 700 feet of the summit on a perfect day still stings the sharpest."

Getting to finish that story 45 years later is a day that I will never forget. Maybe that's part of why mountains interest me - every moment in them somehow rings clear in my mind.

I had a great time at the Violet Crown last night. So stoked to make finals and get to try out a rad bunch of problems.
I unfortunately hurt my shoulder on the first boulder which threw me off some, but luckily I think it was a minor relapse and didn’t get any worse on the next 3 problems. Time to let it rest for a couple days and get back at it!
Thanks as always to the host gym @cruxcc and setters who made the event possible, and my fellow competitors and spectators who made it Fun 👌🏻🙏🏻
***Sorry if you’re seeing this twice. I accidentally posted low res which was a disservice to an awesome photographer.
Another perfect bloc in a magical forest. Index seems to be full of them. This one is called Midnite and ends with a big fun toss to the lip ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ #justgoclimb .
Oh and big thanks to @pklime for snapping this one for me. Masterful 📷

The Flatirons can be a confusing place to navigate. But when you figure it out there's a ton of fine lines to enjoy. Tera @earth2terra11 on Absolution (5.12a).
Still out here in beautiful Bishop, California! Really sad to say the crew @the_climbing_academy left after a great semester! However, as I quest into week five in Bishop ropes start going up and projects start to fall! I’m really excited to see where this next week takes me! Big things coming 👣👣👣 😏Thanks @jasper.gibson for the 📸 of myself topping out ten-pin trial!

One of the things I love about climbing is that it's a life long sport. Between all of the varying disciplines and friends the sport provides fulfillment as long you stay with it. Here an older lady crushes an 8b+ on the outside edge of the Chilam Balam cave. Watching this got me psyched for the years to come!

I have never really had a bouldering project. I went to Bishop with a few goals in mind cause it helps keep me motivated. First and foremost, I wanted to focus and do something hard for me. I had never done anything harder than V7 so I thought Soul Slinger would be a worthy goal to try for a few days. .
After getting to the last two holds within less than half an hour during the first session, I was sure it would go easily. But it's a finicky problem. Very condition dependent, requiring lots of body tension and balance. .
On days 2 and 3 I could only get back up to that high point once and hadn't really fallen in love with the boulder. I hadn't given up completely but didn't really care too much about it. Day 4 while @evanrhoads49 was resting from HPD, I went over to take a few burns with a crew that was working on soul slinger. I fell at my usual spots, but was still psyched. I had just fallen and before I was going to rest for a few minutes, I decided to try some other foot beta real quick. It may or may not have helped but I kept sticking the moves all the way to the high point and before I knew it: JUG! I topped it out completely surprised and very stoked! My first V9! 🤘🏻

THANK YOU for selling out the #womensclimbingfestival in Bishop in one minute again. 🙏🏼 Can’t wait to be back in #bishop with the #GirlCrew, old and new!
