{ 💯Inverted Row💯 } ‼️ READ BELOW ‼️

Started off todays pull 🏋🏻 day off with inverted rows which gave a CRAZY 😜 back activation.

I have tried every vertical and horizontal pulling movement as far as my knowledge and Google 😂 provides, and I have never encountered anything like this one before.

Usually, horizontal pulling movements do a great job with activating your rhomboids, rear delts, and traps. While vertical primarily focuses on the lats. ✅

⚡️🔥Even though this would be considered a horizontal row, it activated my lats pretty darn good! 🔥⚡️

Perform this movement as a pre-activation exercise for a back movement and share how it felt. Trust me, it feels great. (Dying 😵 from soreness as I type this)

⚠️CAN’T FEEL YOUR CHEST DURING BENCH PRESS❓⚠️

I personally struggled a lot with this. I would bench correctly (according to standards) and worked with various different rep ranges, yet I never felt my chest activating during this movement.
-
Even though I stuck with it, the movement wasn’t fun anymore for me because it felt like a part of it was missing.
-
Then I came across @leanna_carr performing a Single Arm DB Floor Press and I got curious to try it.
-
When I did, it felt amazing! For some reason, it even helped me get a better chest activation for bench press.
-
I highly recommend this movement to anyone with a lagging chest. (AKA Me 😅)

My chest and triceps are my weak-points when it comes to upper body considerations.

P.S. make sure to check my latest YT video which I not only discuss about my disability I actually fuckin showed it on camera 🎥.

🏋🏻 🏆 HOW MY BENCH WENT FROM 135LBS x 4 REPS TO 250LBS x 3 REPS AND 240LBS x 4 Reps 🏆🏋🏻

I started off benching 125 lbs a few months into training. As I stuck with it and progressively worked my way to 250 for sets of 3 reps. -
This is a few years of hard work and dedication to the movement, progression, recovery, and failures.
-
Most people back off when they fail, but I operate differently. When something that means something to me stops or becomes more difficult, it feels like challenge.
-
After each failure I start planning how I can overcome it. With patience, knowledge, persistence, consistency, and determination you can achieve anything.

I focused on perfecting my form before anything. Then I focused on progressively overloading the movement without sacrificing perfect form.

I micro loaded the bar until I got here. I made a post about progressive overload, make sure to check that out!

🎯 Progressive Overload 🎯
-
So many people go to the gym without truly knowing what they need to. One of the most important elements of training is being able to overload your previous session/microcycle/mesocycle/macrocycle.
-
That means being able to pump out an extra rep to hit the top portion of your set goal rep range, or microloading the bar for the compound movements.
-
All of the above need to be achieved without sacrificing form but, this needs to be a goal everyone who wants to get results needs to have.
-
Usually you cannot add weights that easily to isolation movements. So, instead of trying to add weight to the exercise every week (your progression scheme depends on you training age but, in this case we’re focusing on intermediates) you try to hit the end rep range of your goal. Ex: lateral raises 4 sets x 12-15 reps, you start off with 12 and every week you keep the weight constant until you’re able to perform this movement for 4 sets of 15 reps. Then you add the least amount of weight to it and start the process all over again.

Now, compound movements are easier to overload with micro-weights (3 -5 lbs). This one is a bit different, example: bench press 4 sets x 4-8 reps. Week 1 you try to get in a specific weight goal for 8 reps. Week 2 you micro load with 5 lbs (2.5 lbs plates on each side) and try to perform the same sets for 6 reps, and for the last week you micro-load again and try to perform sets of 4 reps.

As your training age goes up, this is assuming if you progressively overloaded, you will not be able to add 5 lbs to the bar per week. You might have to make smaller increments as you go.

This allows you not only attain hypertrophy, you also increase relative strength (its pretty obvious 😁)

Now-a-days focusing on one specific task has become a true challenge.

Not being able to do so makes you miss out on so many things!
-
When someone is given a task, they don’t get fully emerged in completing it. When someone is at a place, they’re not in complete presence to feel their surroundings rather they just see them...
-
I see so many people go to concerts, but all they think about is posting it on snapchat.
-
When someone sees a beautiful sunset, all they think about is taking pictures and posting it on Instagram for likes and comments.
-
When people are about to lift, all they think about is how they look on camera and in the mirror, or if they can impress someone.
-
When someone is studying, all they can think about is music and what someone said about their hair...
-
The list goes on!
-
Try giving your full attention to the conversation you’re involved in.
-
Don’t record the entire concert for your snapchat.
-
Try to finish your homework and then go listen to music and talk to your friends.
-
When you’re lifting, get in the zone and focus on nothing other than the lift itself.
-
Try not to achieve 10 things at one time, rather focus on completing one thing at a time, and you will be amazed by the results. Inspired by @nunez3dmj

Every time I wake up and realize it’s Friday! -
Throwback to when my face had a jawline and not a clump of fat 😂

We’re getting there! The fat loss phase is going really good. I have stalled at 205-206 lbs but I am eating +2500 calories.
-
When I started I was 211 lbs, and I managed to lose 5-6 lbs with just 2500 calories per day.
-
I don’t have weekly refeeds yet but I will definitely incorporate them when I’m deeper into the fat-loss phase.

Most people think I went fat to fit, and that is my fault because I didn’t put it put there as much as my fat loss stuff. -
I started off being really fat, then I dieted down to a really low weight for my physique (210 lbs to 161 lbs)

I went on a very slow bulk for a few months and transformed from the picture on the left to the picture on the right. -
These pictures were taken roughly 6 months apart. I put myself in a slight surplus and had a decently high protein intake (1g per pound of bodyweight) which helped me a lot!
-
If you ever decide to go on a bulk, make sure to follow a lean bulk strategy over a dirty bulk. -
