#LovesLantern

Because the road was steep and long
And through a dark and lonely land,
God set upon my lips a song
And put a lantern in my hand.
Through miles on weary miles of night
That stretch relentless in my way
My lantern burns serene and white,
An unexhausted cup of day.
O golden lights and lights like wine,
How dim your boasted splendors are.
Behold this little lamp of mine;
It is more starlike than a star! - by #JoyceKilmer

“Meditation Promotes Well Being.” This is so true on many levels. Meditation can calm an anxious or busy mind. It relieves us from the mind chatter which enables us to hear our inner voice, the voice of intuition and Spirit. Meditation helps to bridge the split between mind and body, which can help us physically heal. The guidance we receive while in a meditative, contemplative or reflective state can help us access the information we need to know in order to heal physically, spiritually and emotionally. Occasionally, when attempting to go into a meditative state, a person might start to experience bad memories, feelings or flashbacks. This can be a sign of trauma, and rather than continuing the unpleasant experience, finding an experienced professional who specializes in PTSD and trauma can be a great help. Some people simply don’t like to or can’t sit still, but this is OK as walking can be a meditation when done with intention to be in the present moment. Connecting with nature can help aid in this process. The twilight state between waking and sleep is also an amazing time to meditate upon something, though some will warn we don’t want to risk falling asleep, I actually like to use this time to ponder life and this is when the best ideas come to me. I don’t mind the transition from contemplative meditation into the dream world, to me it’s a chance to continue the energy into the dimension of dreams.
