Liam was 6 months old when we met his birth father. It was thanksgiving week and he was surrendering his rights so we could adopt. Every moment was in slow motion for me...we were brought in this small room to wait for him to sign then he was going to come meet Liam. I can remember standing in front of this mirror while holding baby Liam...I just stared at our reflection for what felt like forever, silently begging God not to take him from us. It was like time stood still... We we’re told that his father was stressing over the decision and I knew I just KNEW he needed to see me. As soon as he walked into the room and our eyes met, I could see the stress drain from him. He held Liam and it was one the most precious moments I’ve ever witnessed. His decision was a selfless one and I am forever grateful to him. 💛 Recently, we met his parents (Liam’s grandparents). They are the kindest people and we hope to have a lifelong relationship with them. ❤️ We adopted Liam one year after we met his father. This is the 8th part of our adoption story. #DiMaggiosAdopt #thirtydaysaware #day20 #adoptionawareness #adopt

If the sight of the raindrops fills you with joy, if a blade of grass springing up in the fields has power to move you, if the simple things of nature have a message that you understand, rejoice, for your soul is alive. 🙏🏼🍃#mindfulness #livesimply #thankful #joyfulliving #naturelover #meditate #issaquah #issaquahphotographer
We get to host Christmas this year and I can’t wait! It’ll be the first event we host in our new dining room. Are any of you hosting for the holidays? Do you love it or does it stress you out? I’m somewhere in between haha!
Meet our next adventure! 🚌 We are taking this 11 metre 1991 Nissan Diesel school bus and transforming it into a tiny traveling home 🏠 ⠀
Do we know what we're doing? Nope. ⠀
Are we crazy? Maybe! ⠀
Will it be an unforgettable adventure? Absolutely!⠀
▪️⠀
We've been in love with the idea of tiny living for years, taking our time to explore the possibilities and change our minds a million times over. Deciding on a bus was purely spontaneous, but it felt right. We love the freedom it offers to go wherever we choose and bring our home (and our cat) with us. It means less time spent working our lives away and a whole lot more time living intentionally, traveling, and pursuing the things that set our souls alight.⠀
▪️⠀
It's not a lifestyle that suits everyone, but it's the right one for us. We have been preparing ourselves by gradually downsizing our living space and possessions while building up our savings. We spent the first 2 years of our relationship living out of backpacks as we traveled around Europe and Australia, before finally moving to New Zealand. We discovered that there is very little “stuff” you need in order to live your life fully.⠀
▪️⠀
We put in a lot of research and made trips to Hawkes Bay and Waikato to view several other buses before deciding on this one. This bus was a recently retired school bus in the Bay, and could still be used as one. It had low kms with a consistent history and came with a folder overflowing with servicing records and regular fitness reports. ⠀
▪️⠀
We are learning as we go and will be doing all the renovation work ourselves, with occasional assistance from generous family and friends! Joseph enrolled in a welding course and I'm hard at work on design.⠀
▪️⠀
Follow along as we transform this old school bus into our tiny traveling home!

The two human beings who carried this smiling babies are a real example for all those who carry out the work of raising.
Every year there are more fathers and mothers who every day sow love and respect for nature in their children. The human nature relationship must be forged and nurtured from the beginning of life!
Have a tremendous and positive week!

It’s getting to be the time of year in our house where we’re going through tons of lemons. ⠀
.⠀
Lemons are high in Vitamin C and anti-oxidants which help to boost your immune system and are great in hot water to help with digestion and soothe your sore throat. ⠀
.⠀
One of my all-time favorite winter cold remedies is from @honeysucklebeez
.⠀
COLD REMEDY TEA⠀
.⠀
1 lemon, skin on, halved and thinly sliced⠀
1/2 orange, skin on, thinly sliced (store your other half in Abeego and stick in the fridge)⠀
1-inch piece of ginger diced⠀
1/2 TBS Turmeric ⠀
1/2 c. Raw Honey⠀
.⠀
Mix all ingredients and store in a mason jar in the fridge for up to a month. When you feel a cold coming on, scoop a heaping spoonful of this liquid gold into a mug, cover with hot water, stir, drink and feel better.⠀
.⠀
Do you have a favorite go-to for cold season? We want to hear about it.⠀ #keepfoodalive
