When I first moved to LA I was so excited to live a few miles from the beach. After 2 years of living here I've only gone 3 times😂🤷🏽‍♂️🌚
•Downtown LA•

Since the visibility in DTLA yesterday was absolutely insane I decided to rush over to a secret spot after work that @outwardperspective and I stumbled across almost a year ago. What makes this spot so special is the unique angle you get of the DTLA skyline with the ocean in front and the mountains in back. The shot is difficult to get due to the crazy amount of distance you have to shoot through and the haze, on a normal day you would hardly be able to see the buildings. I had never seen this type of shot before so naturally I was ecstatic the first time I got it. Here’s one of the pictures I got last night right at sunset. I can honestly say this is one of my absolute favorite shots. Hope you like it too. 🌆

While shooting the Milky Way a couple nights ago I was watching the sky while my camera exposed for the 25 seconds of the shot. All of a sudden I saw a faint light appear headed straight for the core, and then it got brighter and brighter, and then dim again. Then it was gone. This is what is called an 'Iridium Flare', it occurs when a satellite reaches the perfect angle during its orbit to reflect sunlight back to the earth, like a very distant mirror. Was pretty hyped to capture this 🤓
