During my workout today, I was like dang I’ve never felt this good, this physically fit!! Took this progress pic and was like dang... that can’t be me!! 🤗✨💜 #resultsarereal

The transformation may not be the biggest but I’m proud of it. I’m up almost 20 lbs from picture 1 (2015) to picture 2 (2018). I went from a home to gym to an actual gym, and I think that is when I started seeing a real change. Trust me the gains are not the only transformation; I ditched those god awful gloves, and those hideous outfits 😂 but after a few years of trial and error I know now what works for me and what doesn’t! I still have things I want to accomplish and I still have things I want to learn, but all in good time! 💪🏽#mandrillsgym #fitnesstransformation #gaintrain

Just finished recording the very first episode of Beating Obesity. After my 4 years of maintaining a 150+ lb weight loss I feel I have a bit of insight to pass along. I'll let everyone know when it's fully up and running and I hope everyone who listens can gain some valuable tools and insight! This post kind of compliments my recent post about the pattern of weight loss. I’ve seen many similar to this so I decided to make my own 💁🏽‍♀️⠀


👀Look guys, your body has mass. Muscle mass, fat mass, organ mass, bone mass, 💩 mass, 💦 mass, 🥘 mass... the actual WEIGHT of the MASS of your body is CONSTANTLY changing. We are SO effing wired to care so effing much about that stupid number that we’ve let it control us. It’s dumb. It may or may not reflect FAT MASS gain or loss- and that’s what most of us care about right?⠀


💆🏾‍♂️It’s time to pull away from our scale obsession. It’s time to start seeing the scale for what it really is- a measure of our gravitational pull, of our total body mass, and a tool to be used among MANY in measuring progress. 🧞‍♂️

One arm rows : My hands down favorite horizontal Pull-Day exercise 🙌🏽

🔥In terms of finding the ideal press to progress in your training, I love the standing barbell over head press. For me it's just the epitome of a compound movement for your shoulders, similar to the bench press for chest and squats for legs etc.

✅but, with that being said the movement is quite technical, and just with any other compound exercise, a lack of attention to detail can put you at risk

🏆I really should do a video breaking this one down but the idea is the press straight up "over your head", so that when you finish your arms are in a straight line towards the ceiling

💯My favorite cue for this would be "pushing your head through" when you get the barbell slightly over the top of your head

Trained back & bi's this morning and I am already feeling it! Like, my entire. body. is. sore🔥 It's such a good uncomfortable feeling though😝 I've been lifting heavier and progressive overloading recently, so the gains are-a coming. Leg day tomorrow morning, then off to VEGAS, BABY! WOOOO! Happy (basically) Friday☺️

#tbt When your hubby keeps getting bigger and you keep getting smaller. 😁 We do the same thing, lifting heavy and tracking our macros....the only difference boils down to HOW MUCH we eat. It always boils down to diet, guys! It’s simple.

On the left, we had just successfully completed the Body For Life 12 week challenge, and had both dropped a significant amount of weight. That was in September 2016. We were feeling AMAZING! Never before had we seen our bodies changing for the better so rapidly!

On the right is current, we continue to workout 6 days per week. I’ve dropped additional body weight, while still recomping my physique and making muscle gains. My husband has been on a bulk for the better part of a year and has gained over 20 lbs! -

Fitness together is SO MUCH more fulfilling than fitness alone. I believe that because we have both dedicated our lives to this lifestyle, that we have each been more successful because of the accountability and support. So proud of my hot hubby! #coupleswholift #bodyforlife
