I’m not just talking about kids but husbands too! 😂😱

Truthfully—I don’t but I know many others who do so here’s a post with a little tip.
.
Kids like pasta and so do husbands, but pasta has Z E R O nutritional value. Z E R O. It literally adds nothing to your body except bloat and belly pain. Truth is my kids still love it!
.
I found a brand that I can give them that won’t cause them pain or 💩. Red lentil pasta or chickpea pasta are better alternatives but here’s where the compromise comes in. If I’m going to feed them pasta, they must have vegetables and protein with it. .
This meal takes ten minutes start to finish and is a true crowd pleaser!

100% Whole wheat pasta with homemade clam sauce (recipe below) 😍
First time making this dish and it literally takes less than 10min! I went heavy on the spices, but add as much or as little as you like.
Makes 2 servings

1 1/3 cups dry 100% whole wheat pasta (any kind works)
1 6.5oz can of chopped clams in juice
3 tbsp Butter (I used unsalted)
3 tbsp Extra Virgin Olive Oil
Chopped garlic
Parsley
Basil
Oregano
Red pepper flakes
Black pepper to taste ♡ Make pasta as directed ♡ While pasta is cooking, melt butter and olive oil in a pan ♡ Add garlic and sauté for 1min ♡ Add red pepper flakes and sauté for 1min ♡ Add remaining spices and simmer for 5min ♡ Drain pasta ♡ Pour clam sauce over pasta ♡ Top with fresh parsley ☆Enjoy!☆ #clamsauce #10minmeal #homemade #healthyprotein #pescatarian #delicious #healthyfats #eatlean

For nights when you just can't be fucked. CBF Pasta 🍝 *put pasta on the boil *fry off broccoli on a high heat until it starts to char a little bit *once the pasta is cooked chuck it in the pan with the broccoli and pour a jar of your fav tomato based sauce over it *bam you're done ✌🏻✌🏻✌🏻

Tonight hubby and I had grilled salmon on a bed of deliciousness! Kids had packed tea at tennis!! This was red cabbage, white cabbage, smoked bacon, red onion, mustard, white wine vinegar and a squeeze of lemon!!!!! So good! Inspired by @jamesmartinchef . Again I’m not sure my photos do this justice! Really tasty and super quick to cook too!
I put all the veg and the bacon into a sauté pan with a little butter and put the lid on to steam for 5 mins...once cooked but still with a slight crunch I added some Dijon mustard, white wine vinegar, a squeeze of lemon juice and some seasoning! This would make a yummy side dish too...would go well with a roast chook! Or pork chops!...by tonight we had it with salmon fillets..so while the veg is cooking place your salmon fillets under the grill.

10 mins cooking and you’re done! Dinner is served!

Another day, another dinner at the desk. Because I work afternoons/evenings and as my fridge is a temperamental bar fridge, a lot of my at work meals are a mishmash of easily thrown together components that I usually buy before I start (I guess you could say I don't cook so much as assembler 😎). Tonight is 90 second rice mixed with a chopped veggie and feta tub that caught my eye at the supermarket, topped with smoked salmon which I'm really into at the moment 🐟 it's a winner of a flavour and texture combo that'll be going into my 'recipe' bank!

The perfect reason to keep broth in the freezer at all times- (almost) instant soba noodles!
Boil broth in a small pot with 3 florets cauli and 3 florets broccoli.
In a separate pot, boil soba noodles according to instructions and drop in 1-2 eggs in the last 2 mins of cooking.
Strain and rinse soba in cold water, and add to a bowl with the broth and veg.
Add one tbs soy sauce and 1/2 tsp miso paste.
Easy peasy Japaneasy 🍜✌️
