This is an amazing (and beyond surprising) honor. Making this list is a squeal moment for me. @workingmother magazine writes:
“Samantha Ettus is living proof that you can in fact have both a fruitful personal and professional life. This nonfiction book features stories from successful women in all different career fields, who have found a way to do it all. Ettus is on a mission to get every woman living her best life with this influential read." And I am so grateful to be in extraordinary company with @shondarhimes @sherylsandberg @susieormanschnall @lvanderkam @tina_fey_official and more!

Returning from Houston where I spoke at the @itroninc Women in Utilities reception. So many great women and men attended. I love hearing what is on people’s minds during the q&a and book signing. Fielded questions about guilt, perfectionism, overextending yourself and how to stop the workaholic cycle. 👩🏻‍⚕️👩🏾‍⚕️👩🏽‍⚕️👩🏼‍⚕️

Today is #worldmentalhealthday. Sometimes we get so consumed by our own lives that we forget to listen to what is unsaid. 💗

My Rubycakes turned 10 today and my heart is in my throat because of this seismic milestone. To describe this girl as a ray of sunshine is to downplay her flame. For 10 years Ruby has lit up my life and I am just so grateful to be her mama. May you always keep shining baby girl. 💥💗 (📷 by Bowen at this morning's school celebration.)
Six years ago when we first moved to Los Angeles, we had nowhere to go for the holidays. The next year, inspired by Mona Ackerman's inclusive and super festive New York Break the Fasts, I decided to start a similar tradition in LA and figured that maybe a few other new friends would join us. Tonight we hosted more than 100 people at what has become our favorite annual tradition. This signifies the community we worked so hard to build when my family first moved here and I am filled with gratitude and love for these friends and family. 💕

Today is Yom Kippur, the holiest day of the year in the Jewish religion. It is when we request forgiveness from G-d for our sins and G-d inscribes each person's fate in the book of life. My favorite thing about the holiday is the theme of forgiveness. When we forgive others, we feel better and we can all move forward. When we forgive ourselves, our souls flourish and as a result, so do our relationships. Whatever your religion, let's forgive a little more easily. 💕
Snagged some catch up time with @morraam during her whirlwind book tour today. Introverted? She has written the bible for you. Check out her new book!
So many perks to being Ruby's mom and today it was her winning the Palisades Village art contest and scoring a hard hat tour from @rickcaruso to get a behind the scene look at what's to come. Such fun!

National Daughters' Day was celebrated earlier this week. I literally hit the jackpot with these two. #nationaldaughterday
This is what peaceful protesting looks like. Scroll to the left. Today is the first Sunday on which I have ever cared about football. So happy to see so many players #taketheknee and waiting for the first white player to take a knee too.

Tonight I went to @collectista's and ran into a woman who remembered that we had gone to preschool together for one year when i was 2yo. We hadn't seen each other since. Her mom texted her this class photo of us. Can you spot me? Thanks for your great memory Kiri Tannenbaum!
Three weeks ago my life changed. I started ordering @onepotatobox and I suddenly feel like the family chef. It doesn't completely do the meal for me. I still have to prepare a salad or put something on the stove, it simply does all of the prep. I have never had the time or patience to make a homecooked meal for my family each night and now it is possible. I am not paid by One Potato or endorsed by them. I have simply become their biggest fan. Thank you @weelicious for creating this service and for making family home cooked meals a reality for two busy working parents and three kids!
Live on @abc7la today talking about how to take a break from work with @abc7coleen @abc7ellen. Loved spending time with these vibrant women!
