If you ever want to see how “conscious”, “spiritual” or “evolved” you are... spend a week with your family. With the Holidays upon us, let us use this time for forgiveness, for telling the truth with Love, for not letting things be under the rug anymore, for setting boundaries, for being the most Purposeful version of yourself... and for compassion to know that you and your family are doing the best you can. Family is forever... and you only get one mom/dad and maybe a few brothers and sisters. Whatever is unsaid or unhealed, may this time of year be a catalyst for healing. Bless your healthy relationships. Bless your relationships that require healing. And bless you for your hard work. One more tip: if you are pursuing a dream and your family doesn’t support it, this is a great time of year to ask for them to say they support you, even if they don’t. Dreams are most fragile in the beginning. Be mindful of who you share them with. And protect your confidence. And love yourself this Holiday season. And whatever way makes sense for you, extend that Love to your family, too. Image via @couplethingvideos

It's Veteran's Day here in the United States.
Today, we put our focus, our love, and our gratitude on those who have served and are serving our country to keep it safe.
My father served in Vietnam as a medic. About a year ago we took a trip together to Vietnam put a face and a sense of grounded reality of the horror he faced for years during his time of service.
Countless lives were saved because of his courage and sacrifice.
I am so proud of my father and the positive impact he has made on so many lives.
He, along with millions of other valiant men and women who have and are serving in the Armed Forces are a demonstration of how to live your purpose. Discipline, self-sacrifice, contributing to a cause greater than yourself and showing up in the spirit of service are all aspects of living your purpose.
Most of our problems come from focusing on ourselves.
When you step outside yourself, problems tend to disappear.
When you see the hurt of others and decide to do something about it, your problems disappear.
When you choose to live a life of courage dedicated to a cause greater than you, problems disappear.
When you have the dedication, commitment, and discipline to show up every day, no matter what and give it your all, your problems disappear.
I have had the great privilege to meet and get to know many members of the Armed Forces from all branches. Active members of the military as well as veterans have attended my seminars, workshops and retreats and each time I meet a member of the Armed Forces, the two things I say are:
1. Thank you for your service.
2. Welcome home.
Today is a day to set aside differences, to calm passions and to make this day a day about them.
For without their service, sacrifice, and courage, we could not be free.
Please extend your love, your gratitude & your compliments to anyone you know in or a veteran of the Armed Forces today.
So, if you are an active member of the military, a veteran or a family with someone who is serving, from the bottom of my heart, from one military family to another - thank you for all that you do.
You are a role model of how to live a life of purpose.
Thank you for your service! And welcome home!
Love, Mastin
