It’s hard to sum up five years in New York, but I just keep thinking “now to him who is able to do immeasurably more than we can think or imagine.” It has all been immeasurably more, and I’ll be back real soon, New York.

Change is hard and when you are leaving something you’ve loved dearly, it can feel like a death. I’ve loved this home and neighborhood more than just about anything, but if I’ve learned anything in the Christian life, is that out of death comes life and I’m hopeful about new life in Atlanta. And I’ll be listening to my favorite hymn on repeat and clinging to its promises: “Be still my soul, the Lord is on thy side. Bear patiently the cross of grief or pain. Leave to thy God to order and provide. In every change he faithful will remain.” #1047bedford
Let me tell you about these beautiful, talented friends of mine. So grateful to have walked alongside and learned from these women for the past several months. Life is better in community. #gotham18 #cohort

After I took this photo, my phone died because it was too COLD, and my toes almost did the same. My consensus for bomb cyclone is stay inside, but at least I got to take my first slo mo shot. ❄️❄️ #bombcyclone #whatdoesthatmean @nomadlaura

It’s been a year full of family and city love! 2018 will be full of a lot of new, including a new city and new job. I look forward to falling in love with Atlanta as much as I have New York. Grateful for the hope a new year brings, and for a God who offers a hope that is not in vain. Cheers to 2017 and here’s to 2018. 🥂🥂

Happy birthday to one of the kindest and most patient humans I know. Here’s to 31.
Thankful for sweet coworkers and friends who celebrated with me yesterday.

What a dream it has been to work towards the flourishing of the city through Redeemer and HFNY and looking forward to the next season.

In the bleak midwinter, frosty wind made moan,
Earth stood hard as iron, water like a stone;
Snow had fallen, snow on snow, snow on snow,
In the bleak midwinter, long ago.

Our God, Heaven cannot hold Him, nor earth sustain;
Heaven and earth shall flee away when He comes to reign.
In the bleak midwinter a stable place sufficed
The Lord God Almighty, Jesus Christ.
