Bunneh pillow. Like the whole weight of my giant head is on him and for some reason he likes it. I love this weirdo more than queso 🤟

Holy crap. Today is a day of magical surprises. Last Christmas I pined over @ellie2490's Christmas sloth ornament, and today she sent me this picture. She found and bought one just for me! And he has a pink scarf and hat!!! Eeeeeeeeep!!!! I have the best British bestie in the world, EVER. Just talking to her makes my day, but when she pulls shit like this? Whaaaaaaa? I can't even handle it 😍😂 #britishbestiesrock #bestiesforlife #christmassloth #slothsforthewin #loveher

This is the face that Kathryn got when she took time out of her super limited break time to make and surprise me with these baby pancakes with maple syrup 😍 I can't eat much these days so the four of them were plenty. She always knows exactly what I want and how much I want before I even know that I want it! It's like a magic mind link!

As strange as it might seem, I'm so bloody excited about my new mobility aid that I just had to not only post (more) pictures of it, but name it. Everyone, meet Michael Cane! (Get it?). At first I was so disappointed when it seemed that a cane wouldn't provide me enough support and balance assistance, but I figured out the trick to it and now thanks to Michael Cane I can walk around the apartment myself, get to the bathroom myself, even go into the hallway to check the mail, all by myself. We even went to Starbucks yesterday! On the way out I had some major balance problems but two incredibly nice people helped us get me to the car. And, thanks to my doctor's visit yesterday, I now have a script for a wheelchair, the necessary paperwork for a disabled parking sticker, and a referral to Mayo clinic (which I may or may not use, depending upon the results of my upcoming visits with my ENT). Soooo completely chuffed that to have all of these new options! Just thrilled. Now I have Michael Cane for short walks and soon a wheelchair for anything longer than walking around the apartment or out to the car. It feels like total freedom!! Boy, has my definition of "freedom" changed... But I'm rolling with the punches, taking it day by day, and celebrating every little thing, no matter how small! Hugs and love to everyone in the world. ❤️🤟

For the first time in what feels like ages I got to go to STARBUCKS and sit and enjoy yummy things like a real, regular, person hanging out with her dear friend, Polly. I started to teach Polly the ASL alphabet and looked over a few minutes later to see the kid who had been watching us was now practicing it with her mom, which was awesome! With Polly's help I made it into the Starbucks ok using my cane. A super nice lady leapt up to hold the door for us, and when we left I was really struggling with my balance, so Polly took my left arm, a very nice man took my right arm, and the same sweet lady stood behind me so I couldn't fall backwards. I felt so touched, so grateful, and so safe! I couldn't have fallen if I tried! As we walked I told them about my vertigo (and that the mask is for my asthma), and they were both incredibly kind and reassuring. I'm so blessed to have dearest friends Polly and Calvin (who was building me a freaking walker just because he wanted to help ❤️) who care so much for and about me, and my absolute rock in life Kathryn, and perfect strangers whose kindness warms my heart. I felt pretty darn sick afterwards (damn you, gastroperesis) but I had such a delightful time. Thank you so much, Polly ❤️❤️❤️

This guy is a total lifesaver. His name is Owlfred and he is full of flax seed and lavender something or other. Sometimes I give him a little sq injection of lavender oil to keep him smelling just right. But when you heat him up in the microwave there is nothing as comforting for gastroperesis as Owlfred on your sore tummy ❤️❤️❤️

This is what happens when you fall over a LOT, even when crawling, and your fiancée is terrified that you're going to crack your skull open: you rock a mad cool pink helmet that she spent 45 minutes picking out, wrist wraps so I don't break my wrist if I fall and try to catch myself, and knee pads for all the crawling I do. I'm feeling a little Garden State right now, but that's ok. Thanks for loving me so much that you went to all this trouble to protect me when you're not home ❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️
