When I am low.
My hands are closed.
I cannot open my heart
To your love.
I feel nothing
I feel it all.
I feel the calling to the depths.
So I sit inside the flames
And let them burn through me.
I want to run,
I have to stay.
It is important work,
This bonfire of my pain.
May it dissolve all my layers
The lies, the memories, the facades
Until the white light of my spirit
Remains in the pile of
Soot and ash.
There is much work to do.
I have to get up and move.

Thanks be to this chicken for providing nourishment and bone broth for my sick boy today. It is a practice of mine to find gratitude for the living things that I eat, both plant and animal.

From a sensitive soul/empath: it can feel uncomfortable and very scary in the world at times. As someone who shares in the emotions of those around us and is sensitive to the energetic beat of the universe, it is important to find the place that makes you feel safe and go there. Rest in that place for as long as you need to. I have found myself at various times feeling like I am wandering and yet unsure of the direction. The truth is the signs to keep us on the right path are there and we can find them when we listen and look out for them. It's easy to become distracted when the noise is loud. Yet in the quiet are the answers. We are held, we are safe, we are loved. We are secure. It's important to find the place that reminds us of that.

Darkness has its teachings
Love is never leaving
You can't rush your healing
Your healing"

5 years ago we painted our cabinets with Rustoleum cabinet kit in "frost". Yesterday I did touch-ups. They have held up exceptionally well but like anything with paint, it doesn't stay perfect forever. I can't complain because now they look brand new again. We are getting tile backsplash soon which excites me!

Going to the place where I can listen. Asking for the patience to wait, for the wisdom to know when to move, and for the blessing of the door to be opened.

I am fractured in a million different ways and I am healing. Sometimes the progress is slow and sometimes it is halted but I always feel the light sneaking in through the broken pieces of me. I don't know why my instinct is to hide in the shadows. Mostly because I am scared of losing and I am scared of the knowing. But regardless, there is the light and there I am, a witness, a watcher. Maybe before this human journey ends I will throw myself so deeply into the light and dance with all my fears until my failures feel like triumphs and I finally understand what it's like to belong to myself.

When you get into the car after going to the book fair at school and then it's silent the whole way home. #welovetoread

A little snippet of what we do around here to keep in front of sickness. Elderberry juice, new this season: trying the immunity health chewable for kiddos, food based multi-vitamin, probiotics, oregano oil for all of us and vitamin C for the adults. Colloidal silver when we feel sniffles coming on and essential oils on our feet. I also keep lozenges on hand, bone broth for daily sipping and fire cider in the fridge too but it's not done yet. What are your go-to immune boosters? #fluseason #minimizesugar #exercise #getoutside #getsomesun #getrest #drinklotsofwater #practicepositivethoughts #washhands

Sunday morning mama makes herself breakfast and all the other boys are on their own 😉 #sundaybrunch
Beautiful day #intothewoods and kind of sad it was over so quickly. Love being in nature, celebrating, throwing a party, watching my children being carefree and making wonderful memories with family and friends. #grateful #9yearsold. Someday they won't want me to throw parties for them anymore 😭💕
