Poor guy had dental work done today. Nothing serious. But the anesthesia hang on for a few hours. He was pretty stoned
Waiting at the McDonald’s near the animal hospital. He knows something is up today. He normally likes Dr. Keene. But, today G won’t even look at him.

Just some swollen gums. I brush his teeth daily but want to make sure everything is OK.

The Harris hospital has been very kind. They agreed not to put him in a cage during recovery. And they will do everything they can to expedite getting him back to me

This will be only the second time in five years we’ve been apart for any length of time.

Visited the site where Ben James’ grandfather rests.
Then met with the assistant director Dan Phillips USAF retired Colonel. We talked about dogs in the National Cemeteries. Only SDs are allowed. There’s been a little counterfeiting to date.
Spoke to a woman putting a Halloween pumpkin on her husband’s grave and at the urging of Col. Phillips we visited the final resting place for Hero, Michael Joseph Blassie who was interred at the Tomb of the Unknown Soldier before DNA identify his remains.
We also viewed the memorial for the Puerto Princessa POW massacre. 150 prisoners were forced into three tunnels and then gasoline poured in. Those not killed in explosions that ensued were bayoneted or shot by Japanese soldiers as they ran out of the caves on fire.
Finally we visited the site where famed Cardinals announcer John “Jack” Buck is buried.

Shirley’s hole in the wall is been visited by many, many celebrities. She was a civil rights icon in the 60s and one heck of a cook.

Played Taps tonight at Wilmont Raceway in Wisconsin. The black flag was driven around the track in honor of Jeff Wohlrabe a beloved Wisconsin who lost his life recently in a track crash at Wisconsin international Raceway.
