Another trip around the sun ☀️ feeling thankful for all of the goodness this past year brought me. Thank you to all the folks who became my family this year, and for all of the flowers past, present, and future. Feeling pretty darn gracious today.
Flowers all snuggled up next to the studio ladies lounge. Yesterday we did flowers for a party at @jewseum celebrating female executive partners and loved every second of being a female business owner next to lots of strong, amazing, intelligent, powerful ladies. 💫💫💫

Early in the morning on Sunday, we woke up to our dog, Jacob, barking loudly. I woke up immediately and saw an uninvited man standing near our bedroom. Because of Jacob, the man was scared off and ran out quickly. We are shaken up, but we are so thankful to have had our dog’s protection, as I’m not sure what could’ve happened without him. That said, on 2/13, I’ll be hosting an all-levels floral workshop and all proceeds will be donated to the SPCA, and you’ll get to take an arrangement home to your honey. We adopted Jacob from the SPCA on 2/13 two years ago and would love to continue to allow the SPCA to match pets with their forever homes. Details on the workshop to come shortly ❤️ take care, everyone.

To acknowledge the ephemeral quality of nature and to honor the changing seasons.

To live and to design with the same amount of intention. This is 2018.

Likely the last time I’ll see most of you until 2018 so here goes the end-of-year soliloquy. It’s been a wild year around here. When you're driven, it's always 'what's next' as opposed to a momentary pause for celebration. A double edged sword of sorts. I'm attempting to change this pattern of thinking, and to just be present, and to always remember that I've got a whole list to be thankful for outside of what makes this company go round. Healthy folks who are endlessly caring and offer copious amounts of knowledge, a sister who is fearless and carefree, a handsome gent by my side. Good friends, ones that I can fully belly-laugh with. A rescue pooch who, regardless of how unsuccessful my day could have been, thinks that I am the best thing that ever walked in the house. A big, natural-light filled studio space that we get to make a mess in. And flowers. Always. Here’s to celebrating the small things a little more next year. A reminder that it’s okay to be a little amazed by what your body can accomplish every so often but even more of a reminder to be gentle to oneself and to take care. See you next year 💫

The Amanda Vidmar Design studio is officially getting a new studio mate! And with that, the next few weeks will be dedicated to some serious organization (read:bucket scrubbing) and I’m finally going to get this garden started. Got any full-sun perennial suggestions? Holler.

May your days be merry and bright. 💫
@kaellalynn came to me with one scientific illustration of a weepy garden rose that inspired the entire design. The rest of the story happened in a natural, botanically inspired fashion. Photo by @sallypineraphoto
Back on an iPhone 5 due to (what I believe was) cedar pollen and minuscule bits of tallow berry in and around the USB port of my phone. It's also likely I've missed everyone's texts from the past two days, so! Here's a #shotoniphone5s from a while ago just for good measure. Back to that dongle free life! #workplacehazards
A favorite moment of this year was meeting @cassievalentephoto, and showering her with flowers on her birthday. #AVDadvent
The real MVP of 2017 was the studio light all year long. We have yet to witness the fog in Daly City, and have instead ended up with suntans after making a couple of arrangements. #AVDadvent
Showered @kaellalynn with the rosè holiday palette yesterday via her sweet, thoughtful husband. 💘
