A #latergram from last week, of these 2, cloud gazing and chatting. It warms my heart to see these 2 forming a friendship...its been a slow process, and there is still fighting, but they have been playing so nicely and enjoying each other's company, it makes me happy!

Can't complain about mini pool and water table days in October!! These 2 are approximately 700 times happier outside and it makes our home days just lovely!! We've been getting onto some projects both inside and outside and it makes a huge difference that O&F can just amuse themselves, help, play and enjoy being part of it! No projects for me today though...#icedcoffeeandfeetup In the interest of keeping it real though...Otis has watched 2 movies and Felix had a sleep and 1 movie!

In less than 5 years of parenting, figures are currently standing at
1 fire engine visit
1 X-ray
2 hospital stays
3 ambulances
4 trips to emergency
4 glued heads
At least 5 after hours/last minute doctor appointments (like, I'm calling to let you know I'm on my way and need to see a doctor!)
And...Felix is currently limping, so those X-rays may increase to 2 in the next couple of days! Goodness me!!! That said, we've only ever had 2 doses of antibiotics, so we've been pretty lucky, really!

Look how much this view has changed in a year!! How much have the seaside daisies GROWN?! We've also moved the BBQ and added the reed screen at the end of the carport roof - I'm not sure if it will stay, but I do like that it makes it look less 'carport-y'! This year I'm hoping to add festoon lights under the carport roof, and possibly line the inside of the roof with...something. Anything to make it feel more like a patio, and less like a carport!!

'Tractor' rides with Pa (it's a ride on mower!). I love the way my Dad is looking at Otis in the second one. He's been a nervous grandpa for the last few years, not really comfortable with babies or toddlers, but he's starting to enjoy having these kids around now. Otis hung around whilst my Dad was building his veggie patch, watching what he was doing and chatting away (endlessly!) and asking questions. Watching them together from the deck made my heart sing, and this morning whilst he was working down there again, I did the very same thing, whilst the boys stole offcuts of wood to build a 'hideout'. Such lovely moments together! 3 out of 4 of my favorite men!

Today we discovered a new park with our favorite park buddies @chantellereyno (who just happen to be my bestie and her 2 kiddos!) and it was GLORIOUS! Not only was the playground lovely, there was a pond with ducks, a great path that looped around the whole area, some BMX jumps to scramble on and lots of lovely natural elements like big rocks for seating...and parking was a breeze! Love a good park recommendation from @mammaknowseast, she really knows her stuff!

Now...wake up kiddos!

At Aldi this weekend - this outdoor storage box. We have one of these (in black) on our deck and it holds all the outdoor bits and pieces the kids play with - balls, bats, helmets, water play tubs, etc etc! It makes packing up outside really quick and easy, and keeps everything in the same place, instead of scattered across our yard!

It's sandpit weather!!! I've been turning it over and taking it over all morning to try and dry it out. There's still a fair bit of water in there, but it's getting better! And they don't care if it's still damp! This sunshine has been SO good for all of us - mind and soul anyway. Body not so much - Dave and Felix both suffer from asthma, and we're starting to think Otis does too, or is being affected by 'thunderstorm asthma' - even he's had a couple of puffs of ventolin today #asthmasucks

Felix was a bit tired at kinder pick up...and fell asleep in my arms! He was a bit heavy, so I considered donating him to the second hand uniform box, but he was too cute, so I lay him down on the verandah so he could sleep it off! I had to wake him up so we could come home!
