Yes... It's been a fun evening, now it's laksa time at home!
  • My all-time favourite!

  • @julesgentle what do you have in yours? I like chicken, tofu +tofu puffs and have it almost once a week - sometimes I make tom yum to mix things up.

  • I like chicken and tofu puffs too - along with rice vermicelli, green beans, a few bean shoots and sometimes a hard boiled egg. Yummy!

  • I made Tom yum soup last night

Weekend hangs with Mia in Melbourne, sharing a green smoothie at @yummololaberry smoothie bar yesterday. Excuse my stupid facial expression... Mia was stealing it all from me.

Every real food is a super food in its own right. Craving greens once more so dinner will be inspired by this little stir-fry I styled and shot for a client @fionatuck cookbook.

It only took 18 years of lobbying for hemp seeds to become legal as food in Australia! Congratulations and thank you to the passionate team behind @hempfoodsaustralia on almost two decades worth of persistence. Tonight’s dinner? Veggie curry with hemp protein powder stirred through and some hemp seeds for a nutty finish. #hempseeds

Have you seen @fionatuck new cookbook yet? 😍 I have and tasted all of the recipes (that's the bonus of shooting the book, right?). Totally amazing - dreaming of blueberry scones with chia jammmmm... 💭

Bacon-wrapped pineapple bites are totally a thing. Make them posh by using parma ham instead, grill and enjoy with friends. That's our #friyay plans sorted. As styled and shot for @aussiepineapples recently.
Proof is in the pudding. Or salad. Or whatever. #Plantbased foods are as vibrant as they come and this salad is no exception. Right? Recipe on the blog now.  See stories for swipe up link & recipe. 👋🏻
When you're a mumma to a 1 year old there is no such thing as a sleep in. But at least when you're shooting recipes for a client @aussiepineapples you can pretend-play there is. #endlessaussiesummer

Hello breakfast! Veggieful scrambled eggs with a touch of bacon for that umami saltiness... I love adding veg to breakfast, puts my veggie intake “in the green” for the day. And with summer almost here I’m back in my perennial orange shorts, my own version of @_sarahwilson_ green shorts. 😝
A bit of a quick update guys... 🙏🏻 because It’s been all tumbleweeds and crickets on my insta feed of late, I know. Between working all weekend and finishing the book I’m now in the process of looking to sell the house and getting in somewhere else for just Mia, my Mum and I. Inspections have taken over my life and my camera roll of late consists of nothing but various advertisements kitchen set ups, bedrooms. I’ve also had a brilliant idea to hold a garage sale this weekend - let me know if you’d like more details - because this house had massive amounts of storage and I’m not sure if my next one will too! The whole process has taken me away from what I love doing; cooking and sharing beautiful food with you / but I hope to find more balance after this weekend. It’s all very exciting and daunting at the same time. That’s kind of why I’m hiding behind a bunch of rainbow chard...

Simple dinners are the best on a hot night like tonight... leftover sesame chicken (from the freezer stash) mixed with some homemade mayo, cos lettuce, tomato, coriander and fresh Lebanese bread. What's for dinner at your place tonight?
Good morning weekend! I have a feeling I'll be tidying the pantry after Mishka is finished with her first cut of the "tidy up" - what are your Saturday morning plans?

That’s it, I’ve been staring at the screen way too long this afternoon, it’s time for a #ChobaniFlip Flavour du jour – Creamy Greek Yoghurt with Salted Caramel Crunch – with a good protein punch and an old favourite childhood snackage of mine, pretzel sticks for that crave-worthy crunch! So. Much. FUN. Unlike the work I am currently doing. Thanks @chobaniau for making a treat to get me through this afternoon. #ad
I'll be at the Mind Body Spirit Festival in Sydney daily over the  weekend, showcasing delicious recipes adapatble to different dietary needs at the Soul Kitchen stage. Entry is free - more info via stories.  With prep for the sessions in full swing, it's time for a lazy dinner  of black bean and lentil sausage roll and fridge surprise slaw. PS I'll have signed copies of my cookbook available at a special price of $30 (think Christmas gift goals sorted).

Dressings do make a salad. 🙌Method: add real food ingredients to jar & shake. Ready! I love the zesty Asianesque number but the Ranch is quite awesome, too. The other best bit? There's nothing fake, artificial or over-processed about them. There are 4 to choose from in #TheWholesomeCookBook - via link in bio with free shipping and gift wrap - and a few more coming my new book The Wholesome Cook: Recipes for Life's Seasons 😍👌

Healthy snacks don't come prettier than this, do they? Homemade raspberry and chia seed jelly - Mia absolutely loves these! I do too. Scroll down for the recipe:
• ¼ cup frozen or fresh raspberries
• ½ tablespoon chia seeds
• 2 teaspoons gelatin
• 1½ cups water
• Edible flowers, for decoration (optional)
Defrost raspberries if using frozen. Soak chia seeds in ½ cup of the water, mix gelatin with another ½ cup water and leave both for 10 minutes to bloom. Bring the remaining ½ cup water to the boil then remove from heat. Mix the berries, chia seed gel, bloomed gelatin in a heatproof jug and add the boiling water. Mix well. Divide between 4 serving moulds. Place in the fridge for 30-60 minutes to set. Serve topped with some edible flowers, if using.

The funny thing is that in Polish broadbeans are called bób which is pronounced "boob". Languages hey! Either way they remind me of high summers by the seaside. They were sold podded and as kids we would spend hours sitting in the heat and squeezing the creamy flesh out of the little shells. Food has an amazing way of "making memories" and I am so glad many of mine include real moments of happiness eating real food like this.
What's your favourite easy brekky? 😋🕐 I currently can't get past sourdough with avo, tuna "paste" made with brown rice, corn and pasta sauce, topped with cucumbers and fresh tomatoes. I make the paste ahead of time and keep in a jar in the fridge for the week.
