Last night’s sparkly re-entry 🖤
One more of this beautiful woman in Teotitlán del Valle. Her beauty and grace kind of break my heart. We are getting excited for our 2018 This Is The Wanderlust travel photography expeditions in collaboration with @pocoapocoapoco and @mezcouting Under the Desert Sky: Rajasthan March 2018 is sold out! We do still have spaces open for Oaxaca in January 2018. Head over to for details. It is going to be an intimate and beautiful journey as we explore food, craft, mezcal, portrait, architecture, natural dyes, markets and more. Looking out a plane window, dreaming about last night’s beautiful wedding...thinking about friends, a shared history and always the fleeting, elusive nature of time. I am so moved by the beautiful universe you @su_barber and @gordonmillsaps have created. Today, I am wishing you endless blue moons. 🖤🌚

Abigail Mendoza calling in the souls of her ancestors in Teotitlán Del Valle, Oaxaca. The houses are swept the doors are thrown open, fragrant garlands are hung and exactly 3pm on the 1st of November the souls are called, amidst swirling and fragrant copal.

Shrines of marigolds (cempasuchil) and ceramic bones by @maliciajimenez in honor of Dia de los Muertos.
making portraits with this beauty @maliciajimenez at her beautiful installation of marigolds and bones in Oaxaca City.
Oaxaca City is strewn with spicy marigolds during Dia de los Muertos While in the countryside they use wild sunflowers and fragrant Biruxe flowers to lure the spirits across the altar with the sweet perfume. This morning we went into the agave field and harvested these for the altar along with some Chapulines for lunch!
Back in Oacaca with this one @pocoapocoapoco to celebrate Dia de los Muertos and to plot and plan some special excursions our next travel photography workshop @thisisthewanderlust We have a few spots open for January 2018. Details over at xx
