Fall foliage 🍃🍂🍁 excursion and a hike at Harper’s Ferry with @aaronemyers.
Chicago Marathon spectating is both fun and inspirational, especially when you're cheering on your mom and stepmom with family.

Fall is coming. 🍂🍃🏔
After our Yellowstone trip, we drove south to explore the neighboring and equally beautiful @grandtetonnps. Our days were chillier, but the hiking, wildlife and scenery did not disappoint. Plus we successfully avoided any major bear encounters.

Roadside selfie at the border of Montana and Idaho.
A brief snapshot of our 5 day camping trip in @yellowstonenps, packed full of hiking, geyser gazing, wildlife spotting and simply enjoying the beautiful scenery.
"For the benefit and enjoyment of the people." 🌅

Delayed post from our 10 day camping and road trip out west. On Day 1, we entered @yellowstonenps through the north, catching the sun early in the day at the Roosevelt Arch.

Went offline a bit at the tail end of our vacation. So catching up a bit here...After Sand Dunes National Park, @aaronemyers and I drove north--with a stop in Salida for lunch & stroll through their "creative district". From there we kept onward north to Leadville--a town full of great Colorado history & epic 🏔 ranges. The next day we hopped in the 🚗. Our road trip inspired us to detour slightly and explore parts of @RockyNPS we had yet to see. We drove west to east through @RockyNPS with a quick hike along the Colorado River, pic at the Continental Divide and view above the clouds. And to cap off our road trip, we landed in Fort Collins to spend time with dear friends and relax. A great end to a great vacation. 🙌
Today, @aaronemyers and I were on the road before dawn, heading east over 100 miles to our next adventure: Great Sand Dunes National Park. Beautiful sunflowers greet visitors upon arrival. Thanks to our early morning start, we were among the first into the park. We marked our visit with a passport stamp and checked out the map. Then we hit the trail, or more specifically, sand trail. Up and up we went. Trekking up the sand dunes is easier than it looks. But views from the summit, followed by a gravity-powered jog down make it worthwhile. Thanks Great Sand Dunes National Park! Photos will never do this place justice. So just go visit. #FindYourPark

Catching up a bit here. Yesterday, @aaronemyers and I departed Mesa Verde, then had a leisure day exploring Durango--where we had our fair share of green chili--and enjoying the hot springs of Pagosa Springs--where we spotted a double rainbow.

Today @aaronemyers and I explored Mesa Verde National Park. The only park dedicated to "preserving works of man." And it did not disappoint. One of the wonders of Mesa Verde is seeing how the people lived--in the cliff dwellings! Over 700+ years ago. This park has over 600 dwellings. Today we saw 3 dwellings up close, requiring us to hike the sides of mountains, climb ladders and squeeze through rocks. It sure was a lot of fun. I leave Mesa Verde in awe of its history, the people and the beauty of this vast land. #FindYourPark
Today @aaronemyers and I hit the 🚗 road for our Colorado summer trip. We clocked 300 miles. Aspen ➡️ Basalt ➡️ Telluride ➡️ Mesa Verde. First we drove through bright valleys filled with evergreens and Aspen trees. We met a few 🦌 friends along the way. After a skip through some arid pastures, we found ourselves surrounded by beautiful red rock. Amidst the red rock, we found Telluride. A charming town even in the pouring rain. Loved the jazz fest 🎶 literally echoing in the mountains. Back to the road we went! More evergreens and lush valleys. Soon after, we found sun again! And Mesa Verde Country. Wrapped our day by checking out Mesa Verde's info center. Got a #FindYourPark stamp to mark the visit. Tour starts bright & early tomorrow!

Nothing quite like a few days in Aspen and a hike at Maroon Bells with people you love.

Sometimes you have to stop and smell the roses. Literally and figuratively. This weekend filled my heart, spending time with so many of my favorite people and celebrating new babies, a milestone birthday, and simply life together. ❤️🙌
