Grabbing a quick bite to eat at @cornersmith with their double ham cheese toastie with pickles & mustard & some stealth kale not specified on the menu board on sourdough. For a $15 toasted ham sandwich it's super stingy on the ham. Pickles were on point though. Very sharp & vinegary.

The fabulous styling handiwork of @billy.law shot on my phone, the last dish shot over a two week shoot.
Makes you want some Korean fried chicken, no? It certainly does for me :)

A feast of Korean food for dinner. Feels like I'm eating at a buffet.

The limitation of having no bread, eggs or milk on hand leads to yeast-leavened pancakes with fruit macerated with sugar & vanilla for breakfast.

Flavour noodles at Xi Bay (formerly Sea Bay; same place, different spelling) from earlier today. These zhajianmian handmade noodles were great! Noodles were really firm & chewy & the mince sauce was punchy. Welcome to flavour country :)

Laksa & chicken rice with @cookingcrusade at Penang Cuisine yesterday. Felt so good given the cold wet weather.

Setting myself strait with chicken satay & crispy oyster pancake from Melaka Straits. The oyster pancake really hit the spot.

Trying a new place in Ultimo @griddleking, a place that does crepe wraps, both savoury & sweet, that are pan-Asian inspired, with fillings like pork floss & kimchi (in separate wraps). The crispy chicken one I got was nice enough. It echoed flavours of Taiwanese style deep fried chicken. The freshly made-to-order crepes are a little awkward to eat since they're so soft but for $8.90, I'm not complaining.

Recently I've tried my hand at making mochi. Much easier to do than one might think. It also is a blank canvas for filling options. Banana maple mochi like this little guy here turns out to be pretty darn good.

Patbingsu, Korea's take on the shaved ice dessert with the obligatory sweet red beans (the 'pat' in patbingsu), strawberries, kiwi fruit & those chewy homemade mochi. Not really the weather for it today but still good.
