Made sure to get leg day in with my fave workout buddy this eve & its got my legs feeling like jelly. 😅 Now I’m living that commuter life & heading to PA for some quality time with my bestie — sushi, vino & Scandal is on the agenda and it’s everything I’m needing/wanting in a Friday night. 🍷🍱👯‍♀️💕

That’s a wrap! 🔴🏃🏼‍♀️Two seasons of kickball down and super grateful to all the people that helped me out this year who I truly couldn’t have ran this league without + my amazing team who brought the good vibes every single week.🧡Let myself sleep in this morning after a long, tense night of playoff games & am balancing work + relaxation until heading to PA later today! Rise & shine! This day is jam packed for me. Ab workout done bright and early. Spending the rest of the day coaching women at a healthcare event — helping them tap into that confident, empowered part of themselves — then heading back home to get ready for our kickball playoffs tonight. Workout warrior to business lady to sporty chick today & I wouldn’t have it any other way!

Grateful to have had almost the whole day off + some QT with this guy today— focusing on US and our relationship. It’s far from perfect but it’s ours. ❤️ Wrapping it up by climbing back into pajamas after a couple hours of work in the city & watching our favorite shows. Fall TV is my fave! Had a few productive hours at the coffee shop but then I got hangry 😂 so I came home to heat up some leftover turkey chili + throw dinner in the crockpot (literally took 2 mins) before heading into Manhattan for a night full of client sessions. Chilis + soups + crockpot meals are my favorite for this time of year! What are yours? Happy to share my recipes if you want ‘em. 💗

Before I quit my 9-5 job, I dreamed of being able to spend the day at the coffee shop while working on my therapy & coaching businesses. Today, that passive dream that once felt unattainable is a reality — AND a reminder that all of my other goals are attainable, too. Once I got out of my own way, clearly defined what I wanted, created a plan & showed up consistently to work on it, the pieces began to fall into place. It hasn’t been easy, but we get to choose our hard. Being your own boss + building a business is hard, but, for me, spending all day/every day at a job that no longer made me feel fulfilled or happy was harder. It’s not always glamorous, but I will struggle, fight & work hard for simple freedoms like this - to work from wherever I want to on things that I love & feel passionate about - because that’s the kind of struggle that’s worth it to me. Struggle will always be a part of our lives no matter what, so it’s not about trying to avoid it - it’s about accepting & diving into the struggle that’s WORTH IT to you.

Anyone else wish they had a hair & makeup stylist for, like, every day of the week?! 😂 Reminiscing about our engagement shoot a couple weeks ago as we anxiously wait for our photos to arrive THIS WEEK... Had a really real convo with my gf last night about how damn harshly the season is messing with our mood, motivation, and behavior. I never totally realized it, but this happens to me every year. In my Timehop yesterday, a status of mine from 3 years ago showed up & said “stuck in a rut & needing some inspiration”. Yep. Two years ago around this time I was my lowest of lows. And now? I’m doing okay. I’m still showing up. Still doing what needs to be done & sticking with my workouts. But I feel so much lazier, it takes so much more effort, and I’m not particularly thrilled about it.

I know it’s all temporary. Usually once the holidays approach I start to feel excited & inspired again. But right now I just need some patience + forgiveness with myself along with daily reminders that these phases never last forever. I’ve found that switching up my routine really helps too & am already feeling the effect of starting a new workout routine this morning, specifically one that had such a positive impact on my life last year around this same time.

Throwback to what @shaunt did to my mind & body last year — on the surface you might see a smaller belly, but I see a bigger, more genuine smile & a girl that feels much more comfortable in her own skin.

The 21-day program I’ve been doing is officially COMPLETE ✅ so starting TOMORROW I’m throwing it back to the program that helped me ring in 2017 15 lbs lighter & a hell of a lot happier by: 1️⃣working out from home 25 mins/day, 5x/week, 2️⃣sticking to a flexible meal plan that still allowed me to enjoy some holiday treats and 3️⃣joining a community of supportive women with likeminded goals.

In our 8 years of friendship this girl got married, had 2 kids and moved across the country — I finished grad school, got engaged, quit my 9-5 job & had a massive hair growth spurt 😂 Despite all that’s changed she still feels just like family to me & is one of the most resilient people I know 💜 Grateful to have spent a bunch of time with her this week & to be reminded that we always pick up right where we left off regardless of how long it’s been. Love you @kll5017! 👯‍♀️ #blondetourage

Didn’t leave the apartment AT ALL today bc BRRRR ❄️ but luckily John took care of the grocery shopping + cooked us up some steak salads & l got some WINE delivered right to our door (gotta love NYC). 🥩🥗🍷 Perfect date night at home complete with all our favorite shows & @taylorswift on SNL later! 💜

Not gonna lie (or complain), but our house has been decorated for fall since LAST fall. 😂 We loved our engagement party decor so much that we just never took it down. 🤷🏼‍♀️ What’s the status of your home decor right now? Fall mode, Christmas mode, or still in summer?

Chilly mornings in oversized sweatshirts with a hot cup of coffee & a good book = perfection. ☕️📖 And knowing I’ve got a full day to myself with no plans is the perfect icing on the cake. Some people think the amount of me time l need is weird.🤷🏼‍♀️ Some people think I’m ‘lucky’ to have it.🙅🏼‍♀️ Truth is, I’ve spent way too much of my life NOT prioritizing it & seeing the harsh effects of that, that l now make sure to do so no matter what.. especially after a week of go, go, go! Hope you give yourself whatever you need today, too. 💕

It is chilly AF today! ☃️Leaving the warmth of my apartment for the first time today for some much needed GIRLFRIEND TIME 👯‍♀️💕Grateful for my Ugg boots (love them or hate them they are soooo warm + cozy + provide a great cushion for my injured heel lol) and my big ole Eskimo coats! Comfort > cute for this girl 🙋🏼‍♀️ What are your cold weather must haves?

I've worked really hard over the last year to get to a place where l care significantly less about what people think, don't feel as much of a need to put other peoples' happiness before my own, and can take criticism with a grain of salt. But lately I've been finding myself falling back into those old people-pleasing tendencies & taking things a little too personally. l am a person that cares deeply about things - and it's what make me a great friend and a thoughtful person. But l also believe in such a thing as caring too much. While I've made great strides, I've got a long way to go when it comes to not giving a f*ck - or at least giving less of one. Insert: a new book. Have you read this one? I'm only half a chapter in & can already tell how impactful it’ll be.
